Sometimes my phone gets very hot while playing games. My phone is an iphone 14 plus. The ios version is 18.2.1. Why is my phone getting hot?

This game has a lot of customization and ways to play. The music and cutscenes are of high quality for its time. I would love to see an Anime based on this story!

There’s a glitch when laguna meets Julia for the first time; the whole game freezes. :(

I’m playing on an i phone and don’t seem to be able to access the lower levels of the deep sea research center to fight ultimate weapon and get Eden gf. The save point didn’t seem to spawn after defeating Bahamian either. Is this a bug or what? The pillar you climb down never appears

I love this game very much to me. It has the best battle system. Best story lovable characters. Best of all I get to play on my iPhone

I have iCloud Drive enabled on my device and I just lost two hours of gameplay after exiting the game to recover an Ifrit I lost in a card game. 😅

I was worried that I was gonna just be throwing away $20 because of some of these reviews here and just looking online. Although it seems all complaints were about a year old. I just got to Timber and so far I’m not encountering a single issue. Iphone 11, no overheating, or freezing or automatic shut down. I also have this game on my PS4 but couldn’t push myself to actually play it. Having it on my phone is a different story, I’m outside a lot so it’s become my main game. Very happy with it, t

I havent seen this game in decades, not sure if Ive ever even finished it. The mechanics made for iphone work flawlessly. The story for this game is memorable, and actually makes you want to play through. The card game is fun in its own. The efforts into the art direction and story from this game make it unique in its franchise. And as always the music is perfect.

I love Final Fantasy 8 along with many others but it’s not fun when you can’t play it without worrying if your phone is going to over heat. Hope this issue can be fixed

Game runs and works as expected. Haven’t had any issues. Works well with XBOX One controller. One minor quibble I wish the dev’s would fix is to get rid of the white home screen bar at the bottom of the screen (when on iPad Pro 5th gen).

has two horrible borders on the side. outside of that… excellent game. they could had spruced up the environment with more graphics.

Can you please update this game and add a full screen option for those of us who have a pro max

Its one of my favorite final fantasy games, very under rated in my opinion. Now the update has put in controller support so its a no brainer to buy this if you like RPGs. Game is just as fun as i remember. Worth buying now

The onscreen controls are fine most of the time, but they could use refining.

I redownloaded the game but lost my file because no cloud support somehow.

I’ve been looking for updates on FFVIII for years and it finally happened! I hear there’s no controller support but I don’t care. It’s finally here so I’m giving it 5 stars for effort.

4 Stars due to loving this game. It would be 5 stars if it had Cloud Saves and MiFi Controller support features.

Love this version of the game. I would love it if you back up and download iCloud data for it. Comes in handing when I’m playing at home on my iPad and then if I want to take it with me on the go on my iphone

Would definitely rate this higher if I could use an MFI controller.

Hope they add an option to mute music in future update, then will increase review to 5 stars. Otherwise this a great port, bit expensive though lol but still happy to pay for it, brings back some good memories.

I grew up with FINAL FANTASY VIII it was my very first RPG I own it on my Xbox and to see it on here made me so happy. My childhood in my pocket ready to be go anytime I want. I’m so happy.

Almost perfect. Please make it 60FPS. Looks laggy to look at while playing.

Good game but the port on my IPhone X does not have sound what so ever. I have tried uninstalling and re downloading a few times but haven’t had sound once

Please add controller support for the Razer Kishi.

I wish chocoworld was included but that is ok, got the pc version for that.

I loved this game when it came out in PS1 - until my memory card died. The one thing that would make this game even better would be to add gamepad support. I have a back Backbone controller and would love to use it with this game.

I’ve waited years for this game to come out on mobile and it’s finally here! I’m sure there’s going to be bugs at first, but they will eventually be worked out. Thanks for finally releasing this game on IOS!

Looking forward to playing this game for the first time. Please release FFX and FFXII as well, I will purchase it with no hesitation.

Wanna play this with a controller

Always wanted to play this since it’s famous as a giant step in RPGs. And it works! About 1.5 hours in, controls are fine and no glitches. I appreciate the honest “pay once and don’t bother me again” pricing too.

We’ve only been waiting for this for almost a decade. It broke my heart when they released FF IX and not FF VIII

This is a great game and it works perfectly on my iPhone, but the sound doesn’t work on the iPad version.

Final fantasy 8 was one of my favorite games growing up! I can’t believe it is available in the app store_ WOW!! I can’t wait to play it again, thank you! :)

Completely useless in a smart phone. Like I’m actually going to keep this app open for 2 hours until I find another save point. Defeats the whole purpose of having it on a phone in the first place. Why are these not an obvious features?

Why is the app so poorly optimized? No reason why it should be overheating any modern phone it’s a remaster of a PS1 GAME??? All these complaints in the reviews and not a single update to fix any of them in over a year

3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 all have controller support. How did 8 manage to arrive in this age of ios gaming without controller support? Apple supports xbox, ps4 and mifi controllers guys. Everyone does. Patch this please.
