First Alert 6 Weather App Reviews

I used to love this weather app, but in the last couple of months or so I’ve had to delete it and reload it numerous times because it just keeps shutting down and won’t let me maneuver around in it. This happened a lot about a year ago but then it worked just fine for a while, but has recently started doing it again. Reloading again now. Boooooo!

The biggest issue I had with this app is that it only matches the actual news broadcast about 70% of the time. I have actually had the app opened while watching weather broadcast to match the weekly forecast against what they said and only see that 3-4 days match. So which is right the app or the broadcast?

Seems like a great idea having an app to help keep people safe and informed, but it’s not worth a hill of beans if no one is going to devote to updating it every few hours, including weekends, I check for wind speed and direction, but that’s about 25% reliable, still nice to have but don’t put too much faith in the app forecast

I like the larger screen. It gives me a lot more aerial view of what’s going on with the hundred plus miles coverage. I also enjoy the updates of any immediate threats that might be in the area or coming at us. Please keep up the good work. All of the team for channel 6 is doing great.

Ok, I moved here in 96 and I just thought I knew what a thunderstorm was. My experiences in Louisiana were scary but Oklahomas are - Terrifying - yes Terrifying! Thanks for the coverage. Keep it up!

This has been one of the most accurate weather channels I’ve ever used. Keep up the good work.

We are often NOT included specifically orally’ in tv broadcasts, but I can ALWAYS DEPEND on you to notify me by Cell and provide me with radar, to see “real time” weather❣️THANKING THE ENTIRE STAFF for not only peace of mind but reliable warnings for my safety❣️

Leave it to channel Six to have the best Weather app ever. Allen Crone is the bomb at weather. It gets cloudy out and I look at the radar. This app so far has worked flawlessly. I really like it.

I love this weather app and all the weathermen on here. I do miss the ones that recently left like Carly and Zach I don’t know what happened to them one day they were there the next gone, but everyone else is wonderful too. I have only lived in Wichita for 3 years and was kinda worried about the spring weather here because of what people told me before I moved here, but it’s really no different but our weather people on here make me feel safe and I love the app as much as watching them daily. Y’

Please make this app compatible for apple watch. I don’t want to keep/use the weather channel.

Channel 6 has been on my phone for ever, yes I have checked other weather apps, but for me channel 6 app is the best.

Best, most reliable weather forecasts. The very best Chief Meteorologist, Ken Johnson! He tells it like it is, and, having storm anxiety, I appreciate it so much he will stay on air or Facebook no matter how long to keep you informed of any approaching, dangerous weather until decreased in intensity or has passed through the area. My family and I appreciate him so much, as well as Jayden and Cam!

There is a six hour radar and a twenty four hour radar. If you line up the times on both you see two different results. Today we are getting storm warnings and I like to keep an eye on the weather this time of year. 8pm on the six hour radar shows us getting slammed. 8pm on the 24 hour radar shows the storm breaking up before it hits us. Which is it?

The channel 6 app is the best and easiest to use. One of the things I love about it, is that it shows wind speed and direction. I am a cyclist and this is important info for me.

The radar has been stuck for a week. Has been showing a storm when there isn’t anything.
