It’s a helpful app that I have used for many years. A couple recommendations: make challenges available offline, allow me to see the names of trees outside of the store, and allow me to browse the forest I’ve planted.

i have been using the forest app for years now + it has always helped me stay on track + keep focus ! it’s a great app for everyone regardless of school-level or work ! i have even used it to track when i’m working on clubs or hobbies !

A simple concept that helps motivate productivity. Creates a gamified reward system for being productive and creates a much needed barrier that prevents distractions.

The app has helped motivate me to study for longer periods of time. The deep focus option is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a study app. If you struggle with getting distracted by your device easily, this is the app for you.

I need a way to focus since my ADHD is making things challenging. I tried a similar program that was available on PCs years ago and it was helpful. A pity this is only a phone app or not available on Windows devices.

As I started college I have had a constant struggle staying focused. I would always use my phone rather than utilizing my off time. This app has helped me tremendously, love having something to work towards as I study. That fact that the tree dies when you get out of the app is a great way to redirect the brain to your studies. Not only is it a good timer but you can save up in-game coins to plant REAL TREES!!! A superb app for students.

I’ve been using this app for three years and it’s the sole thing that motivates me to get things done. I love love love it.

Reminds me of the promodoro technique but with cute visuals of a little forest that helps motivate me to continue studying and plant more trees. It would be a neat feature to add the possibility of planting a real tree after you reach certain amount of time studying though! Nevertheless, very helpful with studying and time management :)

This app has helped me so much. As a junior college student who gets distracted so easily, I owe my completed assignments to the Forest App. Today alone, I’ve studied for 5 hours and gotten so much done thanks to wanting to keep my tree alive. If you struggle with concentration…just get it already. You’ll love it!

absolutely wonderful! Amazing for staying on task with an appealing background and noises! Great for work and stufying!

I've done timer methods in the past but they haven't worked for me because i would simply ignore the timer. Now if I leave the app to try and use my phone i get punished by the withering of my tree and it stays there as a monument to my lack of commitment. This app arms itself with this to make you actually focus. I like it very nice!

Revisiting this review to say-still a consistent user, still love the app, LOVE the new forest species you come up with- but still would like a wider variety of sounds! I just need a little reminder not to automatically pick up my phone and this app does the trick! Using the sounds helps as a reminder. I’d love to have a larger choice of sounds! Maybe peepers? Or some kind of simple music- piano, violin etc.

One of my favorite writers (Sarah Rhea Werner) recently posted about Forest in her newsletter and talked about what a great tool it had been in terms of focus. I downloaded immediately and have loved ever since! Keep doing what you’re doing, and I’ll keep planting trees while I focus.

You can get points for staying focused and buy cute trees to spice out ur forest…so cute, so fun, so effective. This is coming from someone with major focus issues when it comes to my phone. Love it!!

You could use it as a pomodoro, or a regular timer for work, keep track of everything very easily.

I’ve used Forest for a decade. Recently this app started giving “under new management” vibes in a bad way. The recent product changes appear rash. Please consider making smaller feature changes to the app and carefully testing the effects of each change on retention and conversion rates.
