FOX 4 Dallas-FTW: Weather App Reviews

As a former Financial Systems Analyst for Xerox, and living in Upstate NY , I love this app. I’ve gone from IPhones to Androids and used my Galaxy S23, and now my IPhone 15 Pro, and love everything about it. I can see the weather where my sons are living, I can see the incoming winds to just get candles and a generator out for downed trees, and even better, I can screen shot what I see to warn someone else who doesn’t look at weather. Hate the update part with the white letters against buildings in the background. Almost impossible to read. Please get rid of buildings.

The updated home page is not as well designed as it was (or as depicted on the app download page). It’s very difficult to read the summary text against the skyline, and the summary is not as clean organized s as it was in the previous version. Don’t really like the “new” look. Send like a change was made “just to make a change” and not really to improve any content. Still like the data available, just think the interface has taken a step backwards.

I have used this app for a very long time. I do not know if this is just my phone but with the last update, the dew point and humidity wording and numbers overlap each other and it is hard to read.

Can’t delete a location.

How can you have this app on 2 separate phones, set the same and totally different radar image. I’ve seen this app go from 5% chance of rain to it pouring rain and the chance suddenly jumping way up. Not a very reliable app. A weather rock would be more useful.

I got a notification that I had used over 50GBs of data and that my usage may be throttled for the rest of the month. I'm a heavy Spotify and mobile hotspot user, so I went to look in my usage logs to find the offender. Lo and behold, it was the Fox 4 weather app. 20.5 GB of data in less than a month! What in the world!!!??? Thankfully, I have an unlimited data plan, but what a surprise someone might get when they have all their data sucked up by a weather app that should only need a few MBs.

Why does the radar not match my other apps and current weather happening. I can’t count on this for accuracy.
