Great app

This is a wonderful and fun guitar learning tool. Couldn’t be happier. Tried many and this is the go to one. No subscription.

Nice

Very nice technique!

Great app for quick practice. Paid version should have more

This is a great little app. If you added actual note sounds to each game instead if the generic “ding”, I would have bought it a long time ago. Still this is a most for fretboard memorization. Kudos!

2010 vibes in a good way

This app has the same user interface feeling as an iPhone three (yes the one with the black round back) game. I mean that in a good way. I love how simple you had effective. This app makes learning the guitar, wow keeping it fun and stress-free. You can take it as seriously as you want and I love that you can keep track of your score as improvement is not easily seen in the day but rather over periods of time which I think is where a lot of beginner musicians tend to lose Hope in that blindness.

Solid app with privacy

This app is really good for quizzing yourself on the fretboard. It’s affordable ($10 lifetime for all features), and it has a much better privacy policy than the other apps. Feels like it was made by a guitarist to help other guitarists. Not just a cash/data grab like many other apps. The interface is kind of old school, which is nice because it works flawlessly. Way better than flashy apps that get buggy. I’m really happy with it, and I feel good knowing my cash went to a solo developer.

Love it so far

It has only been 10 minutes but I see where this is going. I thought I knew the fret board well enough to not make mistakes. The time element exposes gaps. It’s fun.

Excellent

Fun and useful. Easy to use.

Nice design and good mechanics

the enharmonics are off in some of the scales but beside from that it good

Good app if you want to learn the fretboard

Maybe add a share button in the scales and chords

Make it so u can tilt it sideways

You play guitar looking at the fretboard horizontally. Making the app vertical doesn’t make sense. When you try to hold it horizontally the screen gets cut off

Whole keyboard

I’m new at this. I count down from the open frets right now to find my notes. By restricting me to just a section, makes it hard for a beginner. Also, the link to Twitter and the website doesn’t work. Otherwise, could be a great app.

Well worth it!

It’s hard to argue with the free version of this app. You can tell a guitarist is behind this. In the several days that I’ve had the app, I’ve replaced my mindless scrolling with an app that has immediate application to my playing. The time hack on the games makes me have that necessary learning tension that noodling or just practicing without a time clock can’t replicate. If you ever need a beta tester, I’m in.

Great app

Great app, wish practice mode had a an unlimited option. Also was not provided a possible correct answer on one of the attempts. I took a screenshot of it. The note was the the 11th fret on the B string but i was not provided an A# or Bb option

Great tool!

*Many of the reviews are from 2 years ago and the issues they are complaining about must have been fixed because I don’t see them.* The app is great as far as I’m concerned. When I am home, I play my guitar. But when I’m out somewhere and wish I was playing my guitar, this is a great way to test my knowledge of the fretboard. I can imagine a day after I memorize the fretboard that I wouldn’t use it much, but for anyone who hasn’t memorized the fretboard yet this should help you achieve that go

Needs more

App is great. Grabbed the pro version so I could do more and probably after just a few days I’m at grand master and nothing left to unlock. I’m looking for more out of this app. Maybe a mapping of the board for the caged system or something, I don’t know. TLDR, bought it, bored of it already.

Love it

One problem that I’m having is when I’m trying to set it to an all fourths tuning E A D G C F The low E string Always gets stuck on D No matter how many times I try

Great tool - one suggestion/request

Great app. Very intuitive user friendly and useful. Only missing one thing - the ability to isolate a string and identify notes along that single string rather than just a section of the fretboard.

2 Negative User Reviews for Fretboard Learning

The ear training feature isn’t producing any sound

The identify by sound wasn’t making sound, I exited and entered back and sound came, but it doesn’t sound like a guitar, its a really disturbing beep sound

Limited usefulness in alt tunings

No chords available for alternate tuning at all. I’m feeling ripped off because I paid for premium and got nothing for it
