Apple won’t stop spamming my card… :/
Would like to see some performance/stability improvements though
I use a lot of different synth apps and granular is something that I have recently gotten more involved with. I have all of Imaginando’s apps and each one is amazing to work with. FRMS stands out from most of the granular I have used with ease of use and the different add-on packs as well as being able to drop in my own samples and the continuity of creation with the desktop app where I can pick up where I left off on my i-devices.
This is great very adventurous it takes my mind to the outta limits this app is for the creative soul looking for something different Love the pads
Truly one of the best (and weirdest) apps the App Store has to offer. 100/10
total beast of a synth and the iap are actually worth it.
I try to play this over my Bluetooth amp for a simple drone and it never works. You can’t disable the microphone either. Its automatically on but not really on it just gives a bunch of feedback without picking up a signal. Still to many bugs with this software. Audio won’t play over headphone jack either. Please fix the mic issue. There is no mic off button so the app screams and feeds back into itself immediately upon launch.
It’s hard to find something that stands out in the iOS environment. There’s just too much good stuff. However, I have a fondness for this company, they are really engaged and creative! For me, the presets made out of Foley samples make this app. Not only is it encouragement to make your own, it’s also an acknowledgment that not everyone wants to learn everything about every app. Sometimes it’s all about finding something easy to use that speaks to you. Thanks.
iOS has about 3 or 4 apps available on its platform that utilize Granular, but FRMS stands up there with FM features, four layers, and a modulation matrix. Since its launch in 2020 Imaginando has continued to breathe life into their Granular flagship, including advanced UI resolution for HD screens, a performance boost, and VST3 support. It’s also available on Android, something few iOS developers have the time to invest into. Overall it’s one worth adding to your repertoire whether you’re on de
This app is great sound good in everything any track
Granular processing has been a passion for many years. This is by far one of the best apps available.
This synth is incredible. Low on cpu. Terrific sounds.
This is the granular synth you’re looking for! I have almost every one on the App Store and this is the one I pull up the most. Incredible sound design potential with 4 simultaneous engines that can be oscillators or sample-based grains, or a blend of both. Worth mentioning too that I bought 4-5 of the preset packs and they did NOT disappoint! Creative and inspiring right out of the box. All hail FRMS!
This is a Very Creative App, I use it A lot in my music production
Granulated sugar.
Almost nothing you can not do with Granular/FM.
Good app just crashing in GarageBand, UPDATE IT FIX IT KEEPS CRASHING AND AUDIO CRACKLES IN GARAGEBAND, MAINLY WHEN THERES A LOT OF CHORDS PLAYING
I certainly believe that this granular synth is amongst the best available apps to date!
Parents caution. Some of the patches have profanity or contain suggestive themes. This is NOT FOR KIDS. I have reached out to the developer and apple about this to no avail. I would not support this company.
I love this synth! From beautiful instrumental sounds to timbres that reach the edges of the galaxy. It’s sound designer’s playground.
I can’t speak much to the technical aspects of sound design, but I know what I like when I fiddle with controls or just go with an existing preset. The presets are brilliant, and this synth is very fertile ground for the imagination.
Don’t listen to the negatives, especially the religious weirdos with no actual critique. This thing is a tweaker’s dream, with a slick and intuitive UI, and is useful for many genres. At this price, it’s a no-brainer.
I like, no, I ‘have’ to say it and I NEVER say ‘it’…Love FRMS. If I were creating a sound designer’s dream for myself? FRMS would be what I would come up with. I have every worthwhile synth app on the App Store, like Poison to the Model 15. But for Soundscapes, Ambient and Drone music, in my opinion, FRMS is the best. It is almost impossible to not make incredible sounds. Almost every and any change is interesting and save-able.
Beautiful abstract synth for those powerfully weird soundscapes that other synthesizers and musicians don’t make.
Awesome granular and FM synth, great sounds, their usual interface goodness, and inspiring premium libraries. A bit on the heavy CPU side, but that just means I need a new iPad 😅
This is the most useful 3Dollar Synth app I’ve ever found everything on here sounds so good and I’m just talking about the presets can’t wait to delve deeper
This synth is amazing for providing textures to a piece of music! It almost sounds as it’s a living thing. Truly unique in what it offers and very cinematic as well as atmospheric. It will take you to a new world!
You can sample your own sounds as well as use the amazing presets . This is the best granular synth on iOS get it
The app is nice the new expansion packs are interesting and usable. The dev is responsive and active so this app can only get better in my opinion.

you can get the same thing for much cheaper. I don’t know why the maker would try to price gouge with this product. save your money and get five other synths instead.
