My Garmin watch and this app have my heart and soul. 5 solid stars.
I have a Garmin 1030 bike computer and a Fénix 5 sapphire watch. I love them separately but they are awesome together
I really do not like the new layout and the app does not work as well. I have used Garmin for over a decade and have never had a complaint until now.
I enjoy the Garmin connect app. It works great for my level of activity
Been using this app for eight years and love it but an update a few months ago changed the way you can see your sleep history. There used to be a bar graph that showed you amounts of deep sleep, etc. That bar has been replaced by just whether or not you hit your nightly sleep goal all solid color bar. I miss having the visibilityto amount of sleep per night like the old bar graph used to show. Please bring it back!
The watch used to report heart rate as I was running, but has now stopped.
Having an 2 apple products before getting my garmin was nice but I like the simplicity of the garmin not being as smart as an Apple Watch. The garmin app does everything I need to do and syncs well with Strava and apple health.
I love this app and my watch!
Outstanding APP. I’ve had no problems at all. All my workouts, cycling, hiking and swimming are expertly saved. The data reflects all levels of activity and fitness. I especially like the sleep and body battery level tracking. Helps me to plan my day.
One of the great apps out there.
I have used every gadget you can think of over the last 10 to 15 years. And for the last two years, I got away from using my Garman watch. For Christmas this year I received the Fenix 6 pro Garmin watch. I’ve use this for a week now, and can promise you the motivation, and the details of this watch keeps you on point! So… If you are looking to get yourself back on track, and INVESTING in yourself, GARMIN is the way to go.
This App is great to provide all information I am looking for. Hope it will have Blood pressure measurement someday.
Shows stats for a bike ride just fine. But I can’t get the app to sync with my Edge 530 if I’m in an area without cell service…you know, places where a Garmin should work. And now the courses section won’t show the elevation profile - just a little running person icon running and running and…
I downloaded the garmin app to pair with my Instinct 2. I personally found the app to be very janky, and very cheaply coded. Not a horrible app but it was not my favorite.
I’m an avid cyclist and race mountain bikes. I’ve had a Fitbit, Apple Watch, and whoop. Nothing compares to the garmin. It’s the most accurate and the app is super user friendly. Highly recommend. The only down side is when I lift weights it doesn’t always get the workouts right but I didn’t buy the watch for that and it still gets 5 stars.
I use this for all my MTB because no other App exists that allows you to change your distance traveled, the ease of use is second to none, & the Stats are extremely helpful to chart your progress in multiple ways. And of course my Garmin 3HR always syncs perfectly with it too. Simply put “MY GO TO APP” for all my outdoor activities 🙌🏻👍🙏🏼‼️
I generally like the app, but something in the last update of it is killing my phone battery. It’s used 18% of my battery just running in the background over the last 24 hours.
Look Fitbit's are nice but does not provide the immense amount of data.
Both my weather app and Connect have locations set to “always”, yet my watch displays the weather from 2 days ago and will not update. Power cycling doesn’t fix it, making it a useless feature.
Far more than I expected and I expected a lot. Great app, tons of useful tracking options. I’ve had no issues with the app or my Garmin Vivoactive 4 watch.
I have been using the Vivofit 4 for over a year. I have loved the watch as it doesn’t have to be charged daily and records my activity well. It also works well as a watch and lets me know when I get a message or call. It can be hard to connect if I don’t clear the other apps open but not being used. I also don’t think it gets my sleep right sometimes.
Looking at the whoop app, garmin is starting to feel old fashioned.
I enjoy using my Garmin Lily with the Connect app. I’d like to be able to add Connect as an iOS widget to my iPad and iPhone Home Screen that would display weekly goals and progress.
The using this app for four years. If you really like digging into statistics and stuff, this app is really good. Plus I really love the training programs.
Why does a company produce a product that doesn’t work off grid when the products it connects to are meant to go off grid? It should allow you to record usage data such as fluid intake offline and update when you are back in data range. Nice interface just not a great implementation of how it should work.
It’s been really helpful tracking everything as I progress physically. Sure would be cool to add naps to your sleep, since I get 1 or 2 in a day when I can, so that would help provide more accuracy to my sleep recordings, at least in my opinion.
Why is there a “welcome to connect” displaying on the my day page which takes up 3/4 of the available screen space? I’ve had the same Garmin device for three years and I login daily; get this off of my screen. The data that I want to track such as steps or sleep is too easy to delete from the homepage—one accidental swipe and it’s gone. How about a “you’re about to delete a tracker card, are you sure” that comes up BEFORE it disappears?
Love everything about it
This app deletes data and I have no control over it. I want to be able to check my sleep data for more than 3 months in the past, but Garmin just decided that, no, you can't do that because reasons. I wish this app gave me more access to and control over my own fitness data. I'm paying enough.
I’ve been a Fitbit owner for 5 years now. They never made it longer than a year. My daughter suggested Garmin and I’m so glad I did. I love the app, the look of the watch (Lily) and couldn’t be happier.
I love my Forerunner 35 as a no frills running watch. The app is solid but I wish the sleep tracker would register naps. Sometimes the overnight sleep tracker doesn't show up in the app even though I never take the device off.
Garmin forerunner 955 change my life I’ve lost so much wait. It makes everything in my daily life a work out I love it. Heart rate monitor connects to my bike computers. Garmin products is life.
After working perfectly for about a year, there are constant issues syncing between the app and my Garmin watch. At some point when I’m entering data, the screen goes black and the only way to fix it is to exit the app and start over. None of the recent upgrades have solved the problem.
Generally accurate but every 4th or 5th bike ride, the Edge 130 Plus fails to sync and download to my iPhone and my ride data is lost.
I’ve been using this app for cross country, and it’s been working amazing tells you your pace your miles and how much time you have been running. amazing app you should get it!
With the entire gamut of important health & activity information that is constantly recorded, it seems only a small stretch to imagine that other, nefarious information is also constantly tracked, and perhaps reported to sources, unknown.
Great app! What do you think about adding an option to remind the user to hydrate? The user could set it to every hour, half hour, or custom. It could pop up a notification and if you select it the app would open and it would print the user to add to their water intake.
Please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The Garmin app is truly one of a kind whether you want to track your steps, or see your personal best runs! I highly recommend and hope to see what Garmin has in store for us in the future!
A million time better than Apple Watch. Usable data instead of useless flash
Since the most recent update last week, accuracy of intensity minutes and calories burned is so off. It’s so annoying and defies the purpose of having a fitness tracker. Please fix ASAP
This app works okay in general but looks really dated. The design is reminiscent of an old version of Android released almost 10 years ago
App is generally ok but almost everyone just uses it primarily to connect to Strava. Not *ever* going to buy a Garmin watch so why not support Apple Watch heart rate monitor? Be consumer friendly.
2 Negative User Reviews for Garmin Connect™
The new update is more complicated and less user friendly. What used to be a clear, vertical scroll with details is now broken up into tiles, with some horizontal swiping needed. They took 2 steps backwards. Makes it seem like they don’t listen to their loyal users.
The app has recently had an update which allows one to customise the home screen. I don’t like the new update. There’s too much too it. Its frustrating having to go into categories to view data that actually really doesn't need to be categorised. I much preferred one screen with everything on it that you could just scroll down and see it all. I really wish they could have kept the old style of home screen.
