45 Positive User Reviews for Garmin Connect™

Great tool for tracking

Very useful app for keeping track of health progression.

Working good

I don’t utilize this app to the fullest, but the little I do use seems to work well.

Better than Apple

A lot more information at your fingertips.

Great

Please interface for iPad

Great simple app

I’ve been using this app for about 3 years and it’s great. No problems, easy to correct info and slim user interface

Long time

I’ve been a Garmin user for over 10 years, I have all my history, workouts and races …everyone of them. I like to look back and see what I was doing prior to good races (or bad).

Excelente

Creo que es la herramienta para llevar un mejor control de tus actividades, excelentemente bien

Menstrual cycle section could be improved by a lot

I overall like the menstrual cycle part of the app, but it’s far from intuitive. Being that there are certain options a person may need to adjust only once a month, this section should be a lot easier to navigate. I seem to forget every single month how to make certain selections or changes

Good App

Had to have a heart pacemaker installed and the Vivoactive 5 was suggested to me as it doesn’t use the electrical impedance for readings that might interfere with the pacemaker. There was a slight learning curve in the move from Apple that I’ve used for years. The deep dive into my fitness and health information from Garmin was worth it to me.

Amazing

Amazingly Amazing

Seriously Addictive

My Garmin watch and this app have my heart and soul. 5 solid stars.

I love my Garmin watch and bike computer

I have a Garmin 1030 bike computer and a Fénix 5 sapphire watch. I love them separately but they are awesome together

Bring Back the Old App

I really do not like the new layout and the app does not work as well. I have used Garmin for over a decade and have never had a complaint until now.

App review

I enjoy the Garmin connect app. It works great for my level of activity

What happened to sleep bar graph??

Been using this app for eight years and love it but an update a few months ago changed the way you can see your sleep history. There used to be a bar graph that showed you amounts of deep sleep, etc. That bar has been replaced by just whether or not you hit your nightly sleep goal all solid color bar. I miss having the visibilityto amount of sleep per night like the old bar graph used to show. Please bring it back!

BPM

The watch used to report heart rate as I was running, but has now stopped.

Vivoactive Watch

Having an 2 apple products before getting my garmin was nice but I like the simplicity of the garmin not being as smart as an Apple Watch. The garmin app does everything I need to do and syncs well with Strava and apple health.

Great App and watch

I love this app and my watch!

Great App

Outstanding APP. I’ve had no problems at all. All my workouts, cycling, hiking and swimming are expertly saved. The data reflects all levels of activity and fitness. I especially like the sleep and body battery level tracking. Helps me to plan my day.

Useable

One of the great apps out there.

Garmin the UNMATCHED FITNESS WATCH!!!

I have used every gadget you can think of over the last 10 to 15 years. And for the last two years, I got away from using my Garman watch. For Christmas this year I received the Fenix 6 pro Garmin watch. I’ve use this for a week now, and can promise you the motivation, and the details of this watch keeps you on point! So… If you are looking to get yourself back on track, and INVESTING in yourself, GARMIN is the way to go.

Great App—-get it you too

This App is great to provide all information I am looking for. Hope it will have Blood pressure measurement someday.

Works ok, but glitchy

Shows stats for a bike ride just fine. But I can’t get the app to sync with my Edge 530 if I’m in an area without cell service…you know, places where a Garmin should work. And now the courses section won’t show the elevation profile - just a little running person icon running and running and…

Middle of the pack

I downloaded the garmin app to pair with my Instinct 2. I personally found the app to be very janky, and very cheaply coded. Not a horrible app but it was not my favorite.

Best for cyclists

I’m an avid cyclist and race mountain bikes. I’ve had a Fitbit, Apple Watch, and whoop. Nothing compares to the garmin. It’s the most accurate and the app is super user friendly. Highly recommend. The only down side is when I lift weights it doesn’t always get the workouts right but I didn’t buy the watch for that and it still gets 5 stars.

My Go To Sports App 🙌🏻‼️

I use this for all my MTB because no other App exists that allows you to change your distance traveled, the ease of use is second to none, & the Stats are extremely helpful to chart your progress in multiple ways. And of course my Garmin 3HR always syncs perfectly with it too. Simply put “MY GO TO APP” for all my outdoor activities 🙌🏻👍🙏🏼‼️

Battery killer

I generally like the app, but something in the last update of it is killing my phone battery. It’s used 18% of my battery just running in the background over the last 24 hours.

Great device and software

Look Fitbit's are nice but does not provide the immense amount of data.

Weather stopped updating

Both my weather app and Connect have locations set to “always”, yet my watch displays the weather from 2 days ago and will not update. Power cycling doesn’t fix it, making it a useless feature.

Awesome

Far more than I expected and I expected a lot. Great app, tons of useful tracking options. I’ve had no issues with the app or my Garmin Vivoactive 4 watch.

A few glitches but still great.

I have been using the Vivofit 4 for over a year. I have loved the watch as it doesn’t have to be charged daily and records my activity well. It also works well as a watch and lets me know when I get a message or call. It can be hard to connect if I don’t clear the other apps open but not being used. I also don’t think it gets my sleep right sometimes.

UI needs overhaul

Looking at the whoop app, garmin is starting to feel old fashioned.

iOS widget please

I enjoy using my Garmin Lily with the Connect app. I’d like to be able to add Connect as an iOS widget to my iPad and iPhone Home Screen that would display weekly goals and progress.

Great running app

The using this app for four years. If you really like digging into statistics and stuff, this app is really good. Plus I really love the training programs.

Doesn’t work offline mode

Why does a company produce a product that doesn’t work off grid when the products it connects to are meant to go off grid? It should allow you to record usage data such as fluid intake offline and update when you are back in data range. Nice interface just not a great implementation of how it should work.

Solid app

It’s been really helpful tracking everything as I progress physically. Sure would be cool to add naps to your sleep, since I get 1 or 2 in a day when I can, so that would help provide more accuracy to my sleep recordings, at least in my opinion.

My day screen

Why is there a “welcome to connect” displaying on the my day page which takes up 3/4 of the available screen space? I’ve had the same Garmin device for three years and I login daily; get this off of my screen. The data that I want to track such as steps or sleep is too easy to delete from the homepage—one accidental swipe and it’s gone. How about a “you’re about to delete a tracker card, are you sure” that comes up BEFORE it disappears?

Great App

Love everything about it

Deletes Data

This app deletes data and I have no control over it. I want to be able to check my sleep data for more than 3 months in the past, but Garmin just decided that, no, you can't do that because reasons. I wish this app gave me more access to and control over my own fitness data. I'm paying enough.

Best Watch Ever!

I’ve been a Fitbit owner for 5 years now. They never made it longer than a year. My daughter suggested Garmin and I’m so glad I did. I love the app, the look of the watch (Lily) and couldn’t be happier.

Love Garmin, want better sleep tracking

I love my Forerunner 35 as a no frills running watch. The app is solid but I wish the sleep tracker would register naps. Sometimes the overnight sleep tracker doesn't show up in the app even though I never take the device off.

4 Negative User Reviews for Garmin Connect™

Fenix 8 solar

Fenix 8 disconnects every few days and reconnection is very difficult. Never had this issue with Fenix 5 and may have to go back to old watch or quit garmin watches all together

Ok

Nice watch to track activities and workouts but the app is trash NOT user friendly/ up to date.

Two thumbs down.

The new update is more complicated and less user friendly. What used to be a clear, vertical scroll with details is now broken up into tiles, with some horizontal swiping needed. They took 2 steps backwards. Makes it seem like they don’t listen to their loyal users.

The new update is not user friendly

The app has recently had an update which allows one to customise the home screen. I don’t like the new update. There’s too much too it. Its frustrating having to go into categories to view data that actually really doesn't need to be categorised. I much preferred one screen with everything on it that you could just scroll down and see it all. I really wish they could have kept the old style of home screen.
