12 Positive User Reviews for GENKI Conjugation Cards

Yes!

Conjugations were something I always struggled with so this is amazing to have! The Check feature is my favorite!

Just what I needed

An app that quizzes me on conjugation is just what I was looking for.

Sentences Should have audio

Sentences need audio

Mediocre

1. Wish the sentences had audio 2. Every time you close the app, you start from the beginning 3. Wish there was a better way to organize the very s & the adjectives - chapter, conjugation type, tense, etc

PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM

great app but can’t access the present long form for neither verbs nor adjectives.

Please fix

Cannot see the present long form for verbs or adjectives

6 Negative User Reviews for GENKI Conjugation Cards

Frustrating

The English and Japanese infinitives are both shown on the front, making it impossible to check if you really know the word. There is no way to mark a card as learned or mark where in a deck you are when you take a break. Every time you open the app it takes you to the beginning. And the sound doesn’t work (although it does on my phone on other Genki apps).

Almost useless

Needs option to hide English!

stop giving the verb endings

basically useless it tells you the answer to the question

Limited

Seem like an old app. Useful with Genki textbook, because verbs are introduced in the same order. But it seems there is no way to work with multiple forms of one verb at a time — it’s only one tense at a time. I want to hear “taberu, tabimasu, tabete, tabemashita, tabeta” but this app doesn’t do that. Also, there’s no audio for the example sentences. I’m looking for a better conjugation drill app, this one isn’t working for me.

Too buggy for a paid app

My main issue is that the flash card checker/tests register all correct answers as incorrect, making that feature useless. Besides that, anytime you navigate away from the app in the middle of studying a flash card deck, you have to start over from the very beginning when you go back. As it currently stands, not worth the money I paid for it.

Supplement Study

This is basically a flash card app for conjugations with difficult repeatability. I bought Genki 1 workbook and textbook and it’s been great for basics. The app, however, should be free for what it offers and feels like it was made 10+ years ago then forgot about. I already spent $ on both hard copies of the text, it should at least be free to download. If you have the $6 to spare, it’s not unusable, but It won’t really teach you much. It’s a flash card app that coincides with the vocabulary
