Great in NYC
The app was very affordable and convenient when there were cars to rent in NYC . Great service , clean and functional vehicles. It was also good to rent good cars that didn’t have big decals on the sides making it known to the world your car is a rental . Hope soon operations in New York start back up .

How do you even verify?
The app is usable. Not bad. But how on earth do you get verified? I’ve tried everything and might miss my rental because of this company not knowing how to do its stuff.
Extensions
Just fyi if you make an extension beyond your original ending time you can not cancel the extension for any reason. Even if it was an accident. The app is very misleading when it shows you totals. Make sure you know the total for what.

Getting expensive
I originally thought of Getaround as affordable. Now, they require an expensive daily insurance, a booking fee that will not be returned, and there prices have gone way up. I was especially disappointed on a recent trip when I was charged for tolls I had already paid. The customer service team is not very helpful and definitely wants to end the conversation as quickly as possible. I deleted my account recently.
On the other hand, the owners are generally nice. And I like the drop off options.

My 4th of July rental
The car got me to where I was going & back just fine. I wish I would have known about the access card key for the garage being deactivated. Finding parking in the Mission on a Friday night is no easy task but luckily I did and got the car back in time as well. I would like to be reimbursed the $33 parking fee. I rented your car because I thought it would be in better condition/easier to park than some other rentals but this was NOT the case
