Would be helpful to have an iPad in landscape format. There is a lot of users with keyboards.
Generally a good app. Two deficiencies I would love to see fixed. First, would love to see the mobile version to support landscape mode. Second, the handicap calculator does not save the selected tees for added golfers. Also, would love to have the handicap calculator be the same for the iPhone and the iPad. Right now you need to put the people on each device separately.
The stats and GPS functions of the app are great and comparable to other GPS and shot tracking apps like 18 birdies however, the thing that 18 birdies and other apps have that this one doesn’t is compatibility with Apple Watch to tell you front, middle, back yardages and keep stats without using your phone or entering it after the round. Would be nice to see this all inclusive app have the Apple Watch pairing function so you could keep score and stats live as well as receive GPS yardages using y
Overall this is a great app, it has an easy to use interface and has nice gps. The only issue is I play where there’s no cellular and have to download the course gps beforehand. But that’s not the issue, as soon as I switch to the scorecard, the gps won’t open again.
Helpful stats to include for each hole and accumulated totals would be the penalties accrued and sand shots.. would enable a better understanding of those high scores and what created them… also help at what is driving improved scores…. Very similar to current driving accuracy and greens in regulation stats
Seems to crash to often. Great at keeping handicap and history but not always available
I used to be able to post my scores hole by hole, which was awesome. Since 3 days ago the app closes when I try to use that feature. I’ll choose post hole by hole, select the tees and date, then hit post and the app closes/ shuts down. I am able to post total score from and back but that doesn’t keep hole by hole stats, which i like. I sent an email via the help button on the app but got no feedback. Problem continues to this day.
I loved this app the last two summers. It worked so well with my watch. This year, I’m lucky to even get it to connect to my watch. When I actually do get them connected, it will disconnect almost every hole and if it’s still connected, it will not show distance from the hole, only the score input screen for that hole will show up on my watch. I want my money back!! I will not renew next year if this does not get fixed. Other than that really big problem, I love the app. It’s easy to use and a n
UPDATE: Both issues were fixed in the latest update! I changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. Please allow for disabling turning the grown to switch holes. My glove turns the crown, so I’m always on the wrong hole. Also, the app keeps closing, even if I set Return to Clock to 1 hour. I need to reopen the app on the phone and hope it syncs with the phone app, which is still tracking a round. Find out how the other golf GPS apps make it work.
I’m happy with the yardages as it is always within a yard or two of other golfer’s range finders. Took a little while to get familiar with how to work through scoring a round. My main problem is that it often returns me to the home page and I have to start again, telling it to finish my round so it goes back to the course I’m playing. Today, it kept reverting back to hole #2 even though I was on the back nine. When I manually moved to the hole I was playing, every time I tried to enter my score,
The app is great for yardage. I use it now instead of my garmin gps since the GHIN app is updated for our course renovations (new bunkers and widened fairways and greens) and garmin is not. Also wonderful at tracking stats and playing match play (gross or net) with friends. Only 3 stars because the app keeps crashing when I review my scoring history by course and the mobile app does not work well (yardages not accurate, app crashes, could not post scores). Otherwise 5 stars!
It would be nice if there was an option to keep the app always on while using the app without needing the phone passcode. I have other apps that have this feature and it is quite useful. My use of the GPS feature is diminished because of the need to constantly enter the phone passcode.
I have an iPhone 12 Pro and use this ap. Every other time I open it - it just hangs/freezes at the opening screen. When it works it’s a nice little ap - nice to be able to post 9 holes now - so mid week after work twilight golf will count toward the handicap
Great tool but bugs makes it fall short. Match play and sideways display causes the app to crash and lose your match progress.
This app is necessary for convenient score posting, yet it fails to open often. I just updated the app, I had to reenter the group I play with , agg he’s in, again etc… for handicap tracking between players and it won’t open after the next round we played. This has happened many tones over the past year or so that this app took over score posting for NCGA
Why not include the greens access with the standard cost? Usga is a non profit and trying to advance the game. I’m ok paying for an app to keep my handicap, but why not provide the greens access included? You are acting more like an mba run for profit than a non profit to advance the game.
Is it possible to add a rulebook? Or at least some common rules? Example given white vs red vs yellow stakes, so when you’re playing with somebody you can explain to them.

Does not track or recommend club based on distance even though gps is on. Crash when on cellular and trying to submit score on cellular. Nice to see the maps though on phone. Only reason for 2 stars.
Easy way to post scores, but lacking features. Stats is okay, but need the ability to mark penalty and or bunkers for save percentage. Please update and I would probably upgrade.
Bring back the free GPS
I used the one round free version with Advanced GPS. The app worked perfectly on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, I do not have data on my Apple Ultra 2 watch and the app on the watch froze and crashed and was too distracting to me. The watch app and Bluetooth will not work because I leave my phone in the golf cart.
Worst app ever. Constantly crashing then can’t restart. Do better USGA with all your money.
The constantly closes down during a round while keeping score and stats. The problem is not with my iPhone. There is no tech support contact, you have to message your state USGA org and they have no way to help. When it worked it was a nice simple app. It has been broken for a month or two. I play a lot of rounds and dealing with this is a major pain. Not recommended.
This app DOES drain your battery. One issue is it doesn’t auto advance even after working through the settings. The biggest issue is the junk you have to endure on stats and hole by hole score. You can’t just get distances.
I’ve used the app for several years just fine and after the last update it doesn’t save the score on a hole when I advance forward. For example, on our #1 hole, Par 5, it starts me off at 6, when I change it to 5 and advance, when I go back, it’s back to 6.
App constantly shuts off on watch. Always need to reopen and resync with phone. So annoying during the round. Will glitch and delete the whole score sometimes. Please get your lazy development team to download birdies app and implement certain user friendly features. This is ridiculous.
The app seems to rely on the cellular network for something, which results in frequent crashes on golf courses with zero to two bars. Unless you have entered a score for at least one hole, the app then needs to download the course data again, which is not possible with poor cellular coverage. If you have entered a score, then you have to go through a multi-step process to restart the round, which means delaying everyone. Good luck maintaining your focus on the game when you are wrestling with th
App always hangs up or crashes. Once a month it may actually work. Basically useless as an app.
Many times during a round the app closes and then I have to reopen app. Very frustrating. Worse yet, it has posted scores on its own. Recently I played a course and it somehow posted 3 separate rounds, same day, same course. Good news is I had 4 eagles a hole in one and 5 or 6 Quads. App has a mind of its own
