Golfshot Golf GPS Range Finder App Reviews

The app needs the ability to preload the course the night before. Loading a round and graphics on the first tee works 50% of the time and takes two holes to load. Golf courses are notorious for bad reception. This is the primary reason I canceled my subscription. It really only worked for me on city courses.

With my new watch and phone this app makes my expensive handheld gps obsolete. GPS function alone makes this app worthwhile. All other options are gravy. And support- 5 stars also. The app didn’t have all the tee options at a nearby course. I sent an email and within 3 days it was updated. And I got a reply from Joshua explaining how to do the update. Amazing!!

Generally pleased with app. One thing I do not like is the new method of tracking club distances. It is too complicated and apparently I can’t use it unless I pay more. The golfshot app is to me is high but can be justified because of the club distance feature. Don’t expect me to renew unless this changes.

I reported a problem with a course not showing all tees. The issue was resolved the same afternoon as soon as I sent the current scorecard to GolfShotZ Excellent response!

I love the app! It tracks my golf shots, suggest which clubs to hit based on my tracked history with each club. When a new course was opened Customer Service quickly responded and mapped the course for me so I didn’t miss a beat the first time playing it!

I’ve been using this app for 15+ years and anytime I’ve had an issue these folks are on it immediately. From updating a new course to anything else, their help is invaluable.

Complaint: while trying to pair my new Garmin watch, I got the Golfshot app by mistake. I would like it and any charges deleted. Thank you.

I love this golf application. 1. Doesn’t wear down my phone battery thru 18 holes. 2. Yardage was accurate according to my Vortex range finder. 3. The note pad is useful. 4. Club recommendations accurate. 5. I would strongly recommend to friends.

Last year wasn’t good for me I got sick and missed most of the golf season. This year I hope to be much better. I’ve noticed this year I have a significant loss of weight and distance from all my clubs. To I’ll write another review after this season with an update of my use of this app. Jb Dock.

In general, I like the app a lot. However, recently I noticed that several times during a round the app will skip a hole when hitting Next after saving a hole. This is very frustrating and had more than a couple scoring errors that I then have to correct

This app has changed my game! Try it and I promise you will say the same.

Yardage is always on.Auto track works perfectly on Apple Watch. Just make sure to check before and after shot. Can’t wait for the range mode!

Best golf app on earth!!’ I’ve tried many

Looking to see on the Apple Watch where it keeps your score it use to tell you your +/- against par after every hole. Ex.. after 1st hole was a par 4 and you got a 5. It would say 5 (+ 1 )on the watch. Is that coming back or do I need to turn something on. Thanks.

This app is amazing and keeps getting better. I use it along with my iPhone & Apple Watch for accurate gps distances, scoring with stats, posting to GHIN handicap and so much more like distances to end of fairway and hazards. Put in your club distances and it is also your caddie telling you the recommended club. Now with swing analytics it’s helping me fix my outside -in swing path. You’ll be amazed with all it does.

Why too many ads are now popping up….. way too many!!

I just received a notification on 12/9/25 that Golfshot is being removed from the App Store on 12/18/25. Is this true? What happens with those of us who have unused annual subscriptions?

Using on my Apple Ultra 2 and feeling like Golfshot just isn’t intuitive and user friendly enough. Once you pass a hole, if you forget to enter a score, it’s not easy to get back. Same with other features. Shouldn’t have to study the user manual to not feel like I’m holding my buddies up as we move from shot to shot. Have a Garmin watch which is very easy compared to this app.
