Amazing app and product!

I got this app to control my GOVEE led lights, it was excellent with the features, I just think the colors aren’t accurate and way lighter on the led lights than the color wheel.

Does not connect to Bluetooth on iPhone 14

You get what you pay for…

My 5 most recently connected light bulbs suddenly can’t connect to WiFi. I have tried deleting and re-connecting them again and nothing. Was working fine was months. Just, why. EDIT: Somehow it magically reconnected after I left this review. Very, very bizarre. Updating from 1 star to 3, will update to 4 or 5 if Govee responds and acknowledges the issue

Just love the controls

The app was generally great. You could easily navigate throughout it, use some cool themes, all that stuff. But recently, they have refreshed their look and it just makes the app slower and a little more complicated. The bases is still understandable but I liked the old version better - don’t let this deter you from this app because it’s still really cool with all the timers and different light settings.

It doesn’t really let me change the brightness

Easy to use and understand. It makes setting up all Govee products a breeze. All your data in one place and many different ways to customize.

It takes a minute to learn it. However once you learn the steps to set up and create new displays it’s easy.

Govee makes many different ‘smart’ products and their app is great for controlling it all. Highly recommend!

Some may say it’s a bit excessive but I have probably between 20 and 30 different sets of Govee lights in my house, car, and automotive shop and I cannot get enough. In all the sets I’ve bought for myself or others, I’ve only ever had one “bad” light and I immediately contacted customer support and they were so quick to help with what was going on and find a replacement for me. The products are 10/10, the support is 10/10 and the creativity is 10/10 as well.

Work shop and DIY needs to be integrated so you can do more. Maybe more in depth tutorials on work shop so we could get a better understanding

I use this app for my lightbulb to be on a timer. There are settings for sunrise/sunset, as well as custom timer settings, but they’re all lacking. I’d like the timer settings to each have options for what color the light is, and a fade on/off. You cannot choose what color the sunrise is. It’s nice that it fades on from the last used color, but it ends up as this awful purple-white. The other timer options will only turn on the last used color and have no fade on/off settings.

Repetitive multi-step process every night just to have a kettle boil water in the morning. No way to automate it. I don’t want to use Siri. I don’t want anything else - just hot water from your kettle when I wake up at the same time every weekday.

Govee deserves a special respect because they just leave you alone, and works behind the scene. No gimmicks, no marketing, No upselling. They never emailed me after my account was verified. I bought their water leak detectors and almost forgot where those devices are placed and even about this app. Until one day I got an alert for a leak. And surely there was a little leak and early sign of issue with kitchen sink. It’s totally worth every single penny.

I am impressed with the idea of being a part of something greater than myself. I believe I will learn many new things. I think the learning curve will be challenging and fun. But best of all it will be entertaining.

Ever since daylight savings my lights don’t turn on or off with the timers anymore. Please send an update like you have before in the past.

All of my temp meters are working perfectly battery. Life is very good. Temperature is within 2°. Good product so far and I have had them for about two years.

Good app for monitoring on WiFi or Bluetooth. Some more widget options would be nice. The stark white is a bit hard on the eyes. Ability to pause notifications for a set time would also be great.

I enjoy tech gadgets and smart features. However this app is over complicated if you just want to turn a tv backlight on or off and change the color. It needs a basic remote setting that does the same features as the buttons that are attached for manual control. Sometimes I just want to change the color without messing with all the segments. It is a good controller if you dig into it. It just needs a basic mode to make it more user friendly for normal use.

With the Alexa sometimes they do not want to turn off. And you have to go to the app and turn off. Plus I have three lights that are different colors or they do not work. Then they go back to normal for a few days and do it again. This what I think about them I think they are good. But not the best lights

I’ve chosen Govee for all my rgb lights, it is phenomenal and the products I've used are good quality. Compared to all the other lights I’ve used, these are the best lights and also have various customizations in the app.

Colors are bright and fun, lots of different options and easy to use

Some of the “music” responsive commands don’t work right since the last update. These are on my H6144 RGBIC strip lights.

Super bright, lots of different options. From someone who purchases tons of LED strip lights and bulbs off Amazon (for every room and purpose), I will never not get this brand again.

I own several 6008 lights I use in my bathroom. The app works well, a bit complicated for the functionality, but the groups are nearly useless. When I set a group of lights and set a color mode, the lights have no memory of the color they last were when turning it off. So I get a terrible experience turning off my lights and turning them on later on to find weird color combinations when I set them to white. This is something they could fix in the app.

I have yet to have any problems whatsoever hooking up these lights, it just works! And i have 21 lights. Highly recommended!

Latest update caused issue with my patio lights. I am no longer able to control them at all from the app. I have tried just about all troubleshooting steps and no luck resolving the issue. Lights will go on if I manually un plug-and plug them back in.

I love how they designed this app to not just change the light colors, but they always have some sort of entertaining game or quiz. They give opportunities in the app to earn points towards more of their merchandise. I have never had a problem with any of the settings in the app.

This app is waaaaay to complicated. I don't need a gamified point system, I don't need to customize my layout or join a community. I just need to operate my lights. Seriously consider simplifying this app.

the recent redesign. now my lights aren’t turning on when scheduled, and are turning on at random times (like 3am this morning?!). what happened? please fix this!

I have to pull down and sync each individual Bluetooth thermometer 3-4 times before the information actually synced with the app. So annoying.
