I’m not good at learning new stuff, don’t yet know all the features, but I was able to download and begin using the Pro version with very little effort and it made a big difference on a new job site where I had to create a map for client showing where all the utilities are. Not having the patience to read manuals, etc., I was very grateful for the intuitive user interface. Excellent application to navigate and conduct field work!

I’d been looking for an app like this for some time. I have a few older cars that I like to take out on rides, not only for the joy of the ride, but also to exercise the automobile. I wanted an app that tracked these mileages and the general specifics of these day jaunts I take. I so enjoy my “Sunday rides” and love to explore the back roads of my state, and this app allows me to recall each trip I take, and I do a lot of them. This app does it perfectly and then some. It’s just not intuitive. Even simple things are difficult. I have to go to ChatGPT many times to ask things I need. If I ever figure it out, I would love to give it five stars. Very frustrated.

This app has been a great tool. I was flustered at first, but Magichacker012@gmail •com really works. With simply a phone number, I can find and track everyone I wish to keep track of with the help of Kevin. This app makes it easy to check in on loved ones, find a missing device, or ensure family safety. The realtime tracking is quite accurate, and ghost mode protects my privacy when necessary. A must-have for everyone who wants to remain connected and in control! He's the greatest.

MotionX GPS was the best iPhone based GPS application. With MotionX everything was intuitive and easy to use in the application. GPS Tracks is the closest app I have found to match MotionX but I still find simple things like dropping a waypoint, retaining waypoints much harder to accomplish. I give GPS tracks five stars as it is the closest app I can find to a handheld GPS that allows me to use maps in an offline mode. I just find the symbol links non-intuitive and prefer clear menus like Motion

Used this to track boundaries in forested areas. Worked great. Only 2 issues are 1. If I remove the white background from a map in an external app, it comes back after setting it as an overlay, and 2. The ‘import from photos’ option is a bit hard to find.

App worked great, i was able to download hiking trails and upload them directly into the app, then used the “download maps for offline use” feature and it worked better than I expected, i was in a remote area with ZERO cell service and and my position was very accurately displayed along with downloaded aerial imagery and trail lines. It also very accurately records your route as u hike, along with a lot of additional data. Great app, recommended it to all of my friends, we all use this now.

I agree with others that this app is quick, accurate and flexible. I am using it to geotag photos as well as to log hikes and walks. Very well done!

Very hard to use.Directions are hard to understand

i use this hiking every day. it is impossible to get lost. trail location is very accurate, you can see exact coordinates, there is a compass, trails can be saved and all seen on the map at the same time. maps show a satellite image of the area. you can save waypoints with photos within trails. data can be exported so you can have your maps on different devices so they're not lost. the map also shows altitude, speed, calories burned, and many different types of data. all of these things are free

It paused during a hike so I have inaccurate distance. I tried the pro to edit it only allowed me to cut off where it didn’t stop recording but not fix the area that it did paused. Going to have to use a different app to find the missing distance.

Tried the app for the first time today while out dirt biking in the national forest. Everything was pretty good except for the fact that I can’t figure out how to make the map move with me. I’d be in the middle of writing and have to put my finger on the phone screen and scroll it over to see where I was headed because I headed off the screen. I used to use another app when I had my android phone called my tracks, that one worked perfectly.

Simple interface.

I don’t use this app daily, so when I do, I want it to have the most frequently used functions as obvious as possible. I recently went on a 7 mile SUP trek, only to find that I could not, obviously, find the record track button, prior to leaving - got back and the trek was not recorded; still can’t find the smart button.

Terrible to work with. No customer support. Save your self some grief. GREAT APP. Yes it takes some effort to gain the full benefits but has much more to offer than Garmin.

This is a great app. I have lots of landmarks and it seems to overwhelm the system. It deletes the points from the map. They are still saved, but I have to go back and read them to the map. - The navigation from present location to the waypoint needs improvement. I don’t want to use another app for that. - Lastly, there are times that I need to enter coordinates and need to know where that point is. This doesn’t have that. I can enter the coordinates, but I have no idea where that point is.

This is an updated review (about 1 year later after several updates). I have been impressed by how precisely this phone app gets me back to previously saved waypoints. It seems to do so more effectively than the Garmin mounted on our small boat. I also like the available selection of basemaps,and the easy export and sharing of waypoints and routes. A problem of frequent crashes that I described in the previous review seems to have been fixed! Thank you!

GPS Tracks has been my go to off-line and online GPS application for sometime now. A recent release had a bug that discovered and reported to the developer. Within hours the developer responded stating it would be fixed with the next release. Voilá the next release came out, the bug was fixed. Kudos!
