Guitar Scales & Chords Power App Reviews

I have used this a lot for learning chords and scales and music theory. Very intuitive - user friendly. Can display by individual patterns across the fretboard or all the patterns at once for the entire fretboard. Can show by intervals, note names, or finger pattern. Currently, I'm learning Mixolydian scale patterns and dominant 7 chords and arpeggio patterns. I'd definitely purchase again cuz it's inexpensive for what you get compared with subscription based apps.

This is by far the best guitar app I have used in terms of ease of use and functionality

This app does what no other guitar scales app in this app store can do; it displays a full scale, scale position, and chord info at the same time. I love this. I also like that I can orient the fretboards horizontally. Good common sense options and settings available too. That being said, the app cold use a refresh on the look/design. As of writing this, the app has not been updated in a year, a little concerning.

This is an awesome app and as far as i am concern the only missing feature to make it perfect is giving it repetitive playback for chords, just like the amazing repetitive playback feature for scales. Users can practice their scales while the chord is ringing out.

I haven’t a chance to use it yet, but I did watch and see just a bit of what it’s capable of doing, and I’m excited about it. Thanks

I’ve been waiting many years for somebody to make an app like this. The features, the layout, the options…it’s all done right. This one app replaced four other guitar scale and chord apps on my iPad. This is all I really need to practice and learn. To the developer…nice work and thank you.

Best single teaching/reference tool for not just learning the guitar, but understanding it as well. It’s all there in one little adjustable package. I wish the developer had charged me more for it.

This app completely unlocked the mode shapes for me, thus unlocking the entire fretboard. Only improvement I wish they had was a complete matching of the available chords for a given scale. It offers a few suggestions but its not exhaustive or complete. Still, this is a fantastic tool for guitarists! Customer support was excellent and Tom responded to my inquiry within an hour! Definitely recommend this.

This is exactly the app I was looking for. I’d been creating scales with software, but it was time consuming. Now I can print my scales easily with the PDF feature in the app.

Guitarists, this is the app you need. It has a comprehensive reference of scales and chords, and it has a nice metronome. It’s easy to use. It just…works. Perfect for what I needed to learn the fretboard and scales - and it’s an affordable one-time payment. This blows away all the other apps I tried.

It has built in tuner, metronome, scales, it has everything. You need to get this!

Could be 5 if full functions in all tunings. The first easy layout, visual learning aid that simplifies guitar.
