GWENT: The Witcher Card Game App Reviews

Been a fan of Gwent Since I played Witcher 1,2,&3 on Xbox one. Going on over 3+ years of Playing. Too bad Gwent didn’t continue on Xbox but as a DL app. It’s fantastic. Sooo much strategy.. so many cards to choose from and several card faction with neutral cards that mix with them all. Plus you can vs other friends or random strangers daily, hourly, seasonally! improve your skills, complete Quests, Tasks & and gain satisfying rewards!! YEAHH!!

I love the fact that you can play the AI, do some work, and come back to the same battle if needed, without penalty. I would like to see, in the future, the ability to play your deck of cards against another deck you built, manned by the AI. That would be cool. All in all, very impressed with this card game. Endless possibilities.

Was weird it had computer opponents and the beta was in the spirit of witcher 3 gwent and the final product, gwent sa cdpr version 11 is true to these forms with grit and determination you can come back and win!

We need the Arabic language

Gwent is undoubtedly the greatest card game I’ve ever played. The elimination of a mama system makes this much more simple yet nuanced than anything else out there. Not to mention the art, voice lines, and graphic design. There will never be a card game that holds a candle to Gwent, and it’s sad to see it’s getting sunset in 2024. Gwent forever.

Game is good but they should add a game mode where you can play with original Gwent cards and abilities along with original board style but still not bad.

Gwent proved so popular in the massively popular game, The Witcher 3 that CD Projekt Redd had a genius idea to make a standalone version that would receive monthly updates. Since it’s beginning, they have remained dedicated to frequently updating the game and adding new cards to its already massive portfolio, and the strategies players can use are limitless. Gwent is amazingly addictive and any Witcher fan should have it installed on their device!

Beautiful to look at and easy to learn.

I love this game, it’s super fun to play when you have a few minutes of free time or to wind down. I just wish we had a game mode that was more similar to the Witcher 3 gwent. Not that this is far off, but I just prefer W3’s.

Honestly I think this is the best card game on the App Store or maybe in the market in general. There’s so many options and a hand full of factions to choose from. The large amount of diverse strategies makes the game play unique and interesting. Last but not least it’s based off of one the best video game series to exist.

Gwent brings incredible art and balances it with spectacular mechanics. Unfortunately, CDPR has set a date to discontinue support for this game. It will go into a maintenance mode in about a year and then who knows. But the good news is that it’s really easy to keep enjoying this game in a free to play manner. So go ahead and enjoy it! They put a lot of great work into it, and it’s really good.

I was so excited to see Gwent finally in an app form that did the game justice. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

Played this card game during the Witcher 3 then on the Xbox now on my phone. Great lord and card mechanics 5/5 would highly recommend!

One faction being able to look at your hand a play your cards makes zero sense. Way over powered and annoying.

It's much better to play it on PC.

Love the game, but it’s like running on toasters.

Did the new Renfri update worked perfectly fine for a day and now I’m unable to login in it at all says game is unsupported I’ve deleted and installed it. My Phone is up to date IOS so not sure what the issue is.

Must play if you like card games

Every time they add a new expansion, it ruins the game for a while. New cards are always overpowered until they inevitably nerf them. It’s a cash grab that makes the game less enjoyable.

The cheating in this game is real and it’s no way to report it. Sometimes I think I’m playing against a programmer. I understand having great strategy but playing 6 of the same card when you only can add 2 to your deck cheating at its finest! I enjoy the game but it’s iffy.

Great game! Bring back arena

There’s different combinations i want to try with different factions but it’s basically a crapshoot when you practice, why isn’t there a way to change the practice difficulty?

The brilliancy behind making this game staggers me every time I play it. For a card or strategy lover, this game is the best experience.

The game is refusing to load after “loading” for 10-15 minutes. I know my device is able to play it.

Love the game, but with this new update I’m in the middle of a game then the app closes, making me lose a game!!! Sort it out

Not as fun as OG Gwent but it has to be balanced. I participated in the beta years ago and recently picked it back up. Having fun and curious as to how progression will be with expanding my decks.

Best version of the Gwent games available

I really enjoy this game, it’d be wonderful if the developers added a way to have matches without internet connection against a bot. For working on strategies etc.
