I have been using the app for many years. I have tried looking at other apps and normally takes me 2 minutes of looking at them to realize they fall short when it comes to match GymGoal for functions and flexibility. And then they are deleted. I have reached out to support a few times and have always gotten a quick and concise response. Normally it is a question about how to do something. If the function does not exist, support is very open to adding it. It you are looking for the best workout

I’ve been a user of GymGoal for over ten years and have appreciated its features and functionality all during that time. However, a recent need to delete the app and reinstall it on my iPhone 13 Pro Max resulted in my discovering that I was unable to download my backup copy from the GymGoal servers. In fact, after several weeks of trying to log onto the server and receiving the same “Unknown Error” message repeatedly, I sent emails to the developer over several weeks and got no response. OK, fast comes with experience, but once you have it, all the above applies. In the beginning over 14 years ago, I could never remember where I left off on an exercise. Recording workouts manually was a time consuming, error prone, and interfered with the flow of the workout. Now I have an electronic, searchable database covering fourteen years.

Great app I’ve been using it for years. Just needs an update on gym equipment icons.

This has been a reliable app for my exercises going back YEARS! I would be lost without it!!!

I had this App on Android first and it was still better than most. But my phone was smashed and I got IPhone. Even though I had to buy the App again it was better than other expensive apps with monthly fees. I wish it could sync with my calorie counter or Garmin. I still give it 5 stars!

I tried a lot of gym apps before I found this one. Saw it at someone’s phone and asked the owner for the application’s name. I’ve been using it probably for 7+ years now - it is like in NissanXterra commercial: “everything you need, nothing you don’t”

Perfection for tacking and customizing workouts

Needs more variations of new exercises. Updates with loaded exercises would increase the likelihood of me not having to use another app for variations.

I have been using GymGoal last 12 years. It worked well until I bough Apple Watch. With watch application it lost synchronization very often. Heartbeat doesn’t show good at proper time. With another heartbeat device it works good.

This app is not working on the new IPad with the M2 chip

I have used this app for years. Occasionally, I look to see if there’s something better out there. There never is. I always return with a renewed appreciation for this app and all of the ways it enriches and streamlines my workouts. So happy to have purchased this app. Buy it. You won’t regret it.

Used to love it but now it keeps crashing out whenever you hit the back button

Emailing the routines doesn’t work. Nor does the backup server. Need help with this.

Works great with my new Apple Watch. I use the timer between sets and never have to look at my phone.

Great library of workout routines and excerises. You can also create your own exercises with imported images. One thing that is missing is there are no exercises for Suspension trainers like TRX.

I Tried & Spent Money in a lot of Workout Apps. This is by far The BEST!!

Life changing. Has been the way around which I’ve formed my fitness. I can’t thank the team enough. Team - I just started getting an invalid JSON error when trying to backup to the server. Any idea why?

Been using this app for years. Up until recently, everything was fine. Now I’m getting a “invalid JSON file” every time I try to back up. Not sure what’s going on. Love this app though.

Great app but the serve is down for backup.

Can load workout with drop sets, supersets,...etc. can build any workout with this app.Been usding for years! It is perfect for the experienced lifter.so

I expected a more from the app as far as providing details such as reps and rest times in the workouts. Also expected a bit more ease of use. It’s quite clunky to use on a phone.

This app can be great but it ALWAYS falls short. I’ve used it off and on for years until it pisses me off and randomly doesn’t work. I deleted it thinking it would solve the problems of not backing up my work out. To re download it and find that none of my information can be restored including all of my previously added exercises. The app maintenance is horrible. I need another solution and am on the search.

Best workout app around, but the developer’s server seems to be having issues. I can no longer back up my data without receiving an error, “Unknown Error.” I have tried with my established account and a brand new test account to no avail. I recommend adding a feature where the user can export data without going through the developer’s server (even their “email a copy” goes through the server).
