Love the crossword setup, just wish the images and letters were bigger.

The kids in my class enjoy this app. I like that the picture helps them spell and that they need to search for the words! They feel like big kids because of the format so it is engaging.

Happi Spells allows players to practice their spelling skills in a crossword puzzle format. The player drags a letter tile to the area in the puzzle; the letter stays in the square when placed correctly, or pops out with an auditory cue that it was incorrect, and the player can try again. As each word is spelled correctly, the word is read aloud. It is very intuitive with great graphics. This would be a fun and different way to practice spelling.

Kids loved the crossword format as a way to practice their spelling. Nice to have uppercase/lowercase, too!

Great app for 4's and up. Love that they can match letters or spell the word on their own.

6 year olds loved this app. Really helped them work on spelling in a fun and different way.

This is a nice app for spelling and learning how to interact with a crossword puzzle. The cute photos give nice visual support for the word that should be entered. Need more support then the settings allow you to give a "letter shadow" in each tile….then just drag and drop the appropriate letters to spell the word. I especially like the setting option to make the dragging tiles slightly larger than the space where they need to be entered. This is a nice feature that will help those students

The students I work with enjoyed using this app to practice putting letters and sounds together to make words. They feel like they are big kids doing cross words. It has been a great confidence booster in my struggling students.

This app is enjoyable and very helpful for young kids learning to spell. The option to use upper case and lower case letters is great. This is a great app that engages them to focus on letter sounds in a fun way.

I love this app in my classroom. Great visual motor skills to move the letters into place. Love that the pictures speak the words when tapped.

This is a neat app that lets kids do simple crossword puzzles. There is a hint button if you get stuck. All in all, a clever way to get kids to work on their spelling.
