Great Practice

In a way, this game is great practice for playing Hearts in the real world, because there’s no way the actual laws of mathematical probability will ever put it to you this consistently. Cards that you pass to one opponent will mysteriously appear in another’s hand, to your disadvantage. You will get high hearts, but not enough to shoot the moon, and so on. For all that, it’s a good tool for learning the game, because it takes clever play to beat it.

Well-designed, AI only so-so

I really like how well-designed this game is. Very customizable and smooth-playing. I’ve tried several iOS Hearts games and this is the best implementation I’ve seen yet. I’m still looking for a Hearts game that is truly challenging though. I’m a good Hearts player, but by no means great, and I can beat the computer players nearly every time (I’m at over 70% wins). In this particular version, the players seem to be obsessed with either trying to Shoot the Moon, or preventing anyone else from d

Needs features

I would like ability to have game stop before each trick is taken. Often my attention has to be elsewhere when the trick is finished and thus I miss seeing all the cards on the trick. I would also like the ability to not have the 2 Clubs lead, instead having the player to the left of the dealer lead. This would add another option, to allow dirt to be thrown on the first trick to prevent the players leading the A or K of Spades with impunity. Would love to play this hearts game vs friends on t

Hearts gold review

I enjoy this version however there is one flaw in the software , that I have reported repeatedly, that has never been corrected. You can play hearts before they have been broken if the only hearts and the queen of spades remain. In settings I have set the other option that you must play the queen first to break hearts.

Best solitaire collection I have ever found

Solitaire Till Dawn has at least a hundred different games, some easy, some really hard. I have had it for decades, actually, and I always port it to my latest laptop. The layout is excellent, too. The guy who developed it did it more out of love for the games than for money, so it has a lot of extras. JLJ

Bought to avoid Ads, AI is not close to reality

I’ve played a lot of hearts and I had a “free” app I really like but got sick of the ads - this one had great reviews but I regret spending the $. There is NO WAY players can shoot the moon as often as it happens in this game. Very frustrating.

Hearts is mostly fine

The game has plenty of options that allow the user to customize their experience. The two things I’d like to see improved are the score location and new game button location. The score is sometimes covered up when dealing with why not just don’t cover the score? The new game button is CONSTANTLY getting activated by simply holding the phone in landscape. Those of us with large hands suffer! And it’s annoying.

Tremendous game!

Great game, but …

I’ve reviewed this game before, and the one thing I have always considered to be a flaw remains uncorrected … the computer shoots the moon too frequently; sometimes several times in a game, sometimes on successive hands by the same player. This just doesn’t happen in real life. I consider myself to be a reasonably skillful player, but I can seldom beat the computer, largely because of how frequently it shoots the moon. In my opinion it takes the fun out of the game.

Worlds greatest hearts player

I have tested many many hearts apps. Hearts gold is ranked number one in mechanics, layout and options. Their robot play is sometimes quite predictable.

Love it

One problem. I know I’m playing against computer but sometimes it knows the end of the hand before it’s played and sometimes I know it lets me win. I think I do. Could this be true?
