15 Positive User Reviews for Heos

Win 11 issues

This app is great, except trying to connect to Windows 11 media services and shared folders. I have connected to Win 10 but not Win 11. I have tried all suggestions and different formats but no success.

Current release bug- volume slider

Overall I like this app. But the latest release frequently has the volume slider grayed out and does not function.

Some stuff

Fail to connect It’s getting easier to use true the years Some stations are not available in my region I have being able to did the way to do use it any way Thanks

New house

HEOS works perfectly. From whole house music to surround easily. I will hooking up TVs outside using the same out door speakers.

Heos app is not so user friendly after the past release.

The organization of the app is different from previously but NOT BETTER. A bit aggravating now to navigate. Changing the layout without improving its functionality is equivalent to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Do better.

Update

The latest update has taken my pandora & XM Home Screen away and I can no longer pause my music or skip ahead or see the album sleeve on my screen. 👎🏼terrible.

N12

Perfect for use with the N12 HIfi system

Works great!

This works relatively well and has really simplified my home music system. Instead of wiring speakers all over the place I can use the denon wireless. The speakers work with airplay and Alexa too which is a plus. The music services on Heos are exactly what I need. The app has changed a lot and I’m still getting used it but it’s really easy to use once set up. My biggest issue with Heos is that the music via my wired speakers and Denon AV receiver is not in sync with the wireless speakers. I’ll h

HEOS

A lot to learn but works very well. Sounds good on streaming services.

Soso

Can’t always play zone two and blue tooth is very difficult.

5 Negative User Reviews for Heos

Never loads

HEOS app used to be great but now it just sits there loading and never works. I’ve deleted the app reinstalled and I’m still SOL.

Needs facelift and improvements

The UI is old and outdated. It is not super user friendly either. There is an issue with using the volume buttons on my phone when the sound setting on my phone is set to “change with the buttons.” Also, I want to be able to search by audio resolution or make it more apparent when selecting music to listen to. Good luck

Terrible UX/UI. It looks like it was made in the 90’s

It’s July 2024 and they finally implemented Deezer Hi-Fi but the interface still looks and feels like it was made in the 90’s. It looks like an app that was made by developers without help from a user experience professional, as the interface lacks in features and functionality. I hope Deezer becomes able to stream directly to my Hi-Fi Denon Receiver (like Spotify does) in the future, so I won’t have to use this app to listen to music on my sound system anymore.

Pause issue, Album art issue

1. Pause is causing the queue to start from the beginning. This just started along with the below problem. 2. Playing music from the NAS is causing album art to stop showing after the first song. It does not refresh until the next album starts. Then it will show the album art for that album. After that album’s first song the album art goes to a blank screen. The info button always shows album art. So it isn’t an issue with jpg size, server issue, etc. it points to an app problem on version

Adequate

My Marantz Cinema 70 is the best AVR I have ever owned. It replaced a Yamaha which I controlled by Musicast. If only HEOS worked as well, but, alas it is quite an inferior product. I should mention the Marantz app is even worse. It is regrettable that such excellent hardware has sub-mediocre controlling software.
