The iPhone app works great and does exactly what you want tracking reps, showing your progress, and shows you how to perform various exercises. However it very frequently doesn’t fill Apple Watch rings for exercise and gives a warning that the Apple Watch started a workout when it obviously didn’t. It will still track your whole workout and you can use the watch to record sets/reps, but it won’t fill your rings every time which is very annoying and I’ve found no good solution to this.
Gives me ideas for workouts and create my own workout or use the preset ones they have. Only complaint is for dropsets it doesn’t have a table for the sets, but other than that it makes me feel coordinated.
Moved from Strong a couple years ago and no regrets. It lets you import in your old records. I use the web app to enter routines quickly and it works really well. Only thing I would add is many routines may be the same exercises but different rep/rpe as you move week to week. It feels a little messy to have a routine for each day in a program and a little imprecise to try to use the same routine week to week. It would be nice to be able manage that more easily.
I always wanted to track my workouts but never found a good app for it. Hevy is minimal & easy to use which makes it easy to track workouts and see progress. Feedback: would be nice to have physiotherapy/warmup/stretching exercises for the shoulder/glutes/hamstrings.
This app has made my workouts better and motivated me to keep pushing myself. I recommend to anyone that works out!
Great app to keep you accountable during workouts and stay consistent from week to week. I recommend it to everyone!
Very straightforward interface makes it easier to pre-plan workouts and create new workouts on the go. The demonstrative graphics are very helpful in keeping form correct.
Love that I can easily track my own routines without being locked into a structure. Watch app keeps sync without fuss.
You can only save 4 workouts- which is perfect for my current fitness goals- 4 lifting workouts every week. I haven’t researched the App’s routines yet- because you can’t record your sets unless you delete one of your saved workouts. I researched free apps and this one was the best option in many categories
I love the fact I can save individual workouts and changes. Boostcamp is fine if you just want premade programs but I usually like individualizing my workouts, but I need to pay for additional features. I also like the fact that PRs are saved. I wish that it would mark whenever a new rep max was achieved. It would feel like I’m making more progress.
Use this every time I am at the gym. Keeps track of my reps and weights. Makes things so easy.
I’m a semi amateur to working out and I use this app to track my routine (a basic routine from r/fitness). It’s very easy to use and very helpful. It even has little tutorials and videos for exercises too! It’s amazing
Have tried many other workout apps but this is the only one that I stuck with. Easy to use and large library of lifts.
I have have only ben using Hevy for a few weeks but I can comfortably say that this is the best workout app ever.
This is a great workout tracking app! I like that I can easily save my different workout routines. Nice user interface.
This app is helps me track my workouts and progression. If you need a suggestion for an arm workout the app suggest several. For a woman in the gym, it is a must!
I have tried several different apps and this is by far the best. Purchased lifetime subscription
fr the best workout app - v cheap and organized and has dark mode🙏🏻 and lots of options/ settings
Nifty little app. Actually useful!
it's convenient to track stuff, love the calendar function
I switched from Caliber a few months ago and I’m very happy. Hevy does not over emphasize any single metric and allows me to focus on volume just as easily as strength. I love the Apple Watch integration, it allows me to focus on the exercise without messing with my phone. The only feature Ive found missing is I wish I could mark a set as “partial” as I’ve started incorporating lengthened partials based on them being all the rage right now.
Great app! Worth every penny!
There’s a good amount of functionality without paying and it’s more than enough for what I need. I also appreciate that it will show how to do specific exercises
Best workout app I’ve ever had. Cheap membership and tracks everything you need. Weight, body fat, can be alittle competitive with your friends also! Overall super user friendly and adaptive!
There’s no insane promotions on this app, no “Pay $2.99 to remove ads!” stuff, just the best workout app ever with the cleanest and most user-friendly UI I have ever seen.
I used hevy for 2 yeara without any subscription plan and it was amazing, then I switched to yearly plan and it was even more amazing!!! you can totally use it without any plan but if you are like me who want's to have access to his workout data more than 3month I definitly encourage you to buy a plan cause it worth every cent
This is a great app if you’re comfortable building your own workouts. I think you can check out routines of other users but I haven’t tried it. I love how the app provides little videos on how to perform the exercises just in case you aren’t familiar. Now that I’m 50 and dealing with some physical issues, I’m using more machines than ever before so I find it useful to get an understanding on what each machine does and what body part is being worked. If you pay for a subscription, you get a plate
Hevy continues to delivery great functionality in a small but mighty package. It’s not the most polished app, but the features leave very little to be desired. Every time I want to do something- move around an exercise, change a set or save a workout; this app delivers!
Anytime I see someone using a pencil and paper in the gym immediately show him this app. Definitely worth it.
I have used quite a few apps and journals and this one is hands down the best. Highly recommend!
Great app over all. I’ve tried many different types of set and weight trackers and this is the best free one by far. only thing I would want would be more free workout slots to save workouts.
App is great for keeping your working outs together and running smooth. I don’t go a workout without using this app.
I love it. The metrics are solid and it’s very customizable. Can you guys please add RIR or RPE?
This app was the reason I can constantly track and do workouts without working about paying because I can’t afford it because I am still in college as a broke student. I am so grateful for this app.
Everything you need for free! Wonderful app for planning workouts, and super easy to use!
Cool and lowkey.
I never pay for apps. I don’t see why, when developers abandoned, lack community support, and are unresponsive. This developer, however, excels in beating the norm. The app is perfect for my daily workouts, and helps me track, monitor progress, and estimate things like 1 rep max, which are missing in other ones. I tell everyone using notepads and excel spreadsheets to consider this app, and plan on keeping my subscription as long as I use the gym!
Good for tracking your workouts
It has all the elements of a fitness journey in one app. My trainer recommended it and I can see why. With the ability to build custom workouts specific to my plan. Visuals & correct form on how to do an exercise. Tracking my best sets and timers for breaks and time based exercises. All around a great workout partner.
I have tried several apps and I like this one best. Keeps track of my work, shows my progress and the library of exercises is helpful. I also like that so can create my own modified exercise if I like. I also like the confetti when I reach a milestone or personal best. 🤣
Better than most other apps in this category
I’ve used a variety of workout apps over the years, but one thing they all had in common was how often they’d crash. Nothing worse than being in the middle of a workout and having your reps erased and trying to remember what you did the last 45 mins. Haven’t had that issue once with Hevy. Really like the ability to create and log my own workouts, have almost 99% of what I do recognized in the app, plus all the tracking aspects and how It works with the Apple Watch. Highly recommend!!
This app is ideal in many ways for tracking workouts. It also has a bit of a social media aspect to it, which I initially wasn’t interested in, until I realized you could compare your workouts to others. That alone has been great. Being able to see the weight and volume that others are doing for specific exercises, along with their progress pics is great. Obviously, it isn’t a 1:1 comparison, but it is a good sanity check. Also, having been using it for a while, I’ve got some stake in the
I have used Fit Bod and other apps in the past but Hevy is so much better in my experience. Not only is it more affordable but it also has much better user interface allowing you to connect with friends and track their workouts as well. I recommend this app to anyone who loves fitness.
Great way to track your progress
