11 Positive User Reviews for Hilda Synthesizer
Portable O-Coast Type Synth
Very fun synth/effect app that has a feel similar to Make Noise’s O-Coast hardware synth. It has a nice mix of Moog and Buchla character and with the sequencer or drone mode you can easily lose an hour just fiddling. Delay reverb effect is old school and gives the app even more of a hardware feel. It plays nice with other music apps also. Another hit for this consistent developer! Thanks!
Amazing Fun
This is the most amazing fun I’ve had with a synth, very experimental while still being able to be incorporated into various genres.
Thank you so much Bram Bos, I have almost all your apps and I think this one is my favorite thus far.
Excellent App
Update: latest firmware addressed the issue below. Upgraded to five stars. Excellent dev and experience. Job well done!!
Fantastic app outside of one issue. Every time you load the app, you have to turn down the LPF, otherwise there’s a slight audible noise. No other app to my knowledge does this.
Magic subconscious creativity
Resisted getting this for a long time, always skeptical of West Cost synthesis. Then they dropped the price and I’m glad I got it. Meditative and relaxing.
Deep and Unique
I held back on getting Hilda because it wasn’t the kind of synth I was used to. Then I bought it, and it was true love, because it wasn’t the kind of synth I was used to, lol. Hilda will reward experimentation with sounds you’re not likely to get anywhere else!
Super Fun and Experimental Joy
Yes,Yes,Yes! Love this puppy… Hope Hilda has a sister : )
Sounds….
Some of the most beautiful sounds I’ve ever heard came from this device……
One of the most amazing on iOS
A wonderful mashup of perfectly matched features and amazing sound. I wish I could have a hardware version of this exact synth. Think about it Bram Bos!
Bram’s The Best
Tried and True Developer who cares about his customers and products enough that he even provides free luxury updates. 10/10
Super fun, lots to explore.
5 stars as always, Bram.
My one early feedback is that it would be nice to swipe the performance pads to latch them. Which would then allow for more knob twiddling.
I also had one instance where I toggled the sequencer off and it wouldn’t stop. Could have been user error.
One Small Annoyance
Fantastic app outside of one issue. Every time you load the app, you have to turn down the LPF, otherwise there’s a slight audible noise. No other app to my knowledge does this.
