Hipcamp: Camping, RVs & Cabins App Reviews

This was our 1st time booking on site and was very pleased it went so smoothly. The owner got with me right away and the site was easy to navigate. Looking forward to our stay and booking many more in the near future.

I can’t seem to scroll to the bottom of the page without it refreshing it’s so annoying other then that I love the app

This website is a great asset to people who don’t want to camp in traditional campgrounds. Features many wonderful private secluded campsites for tent camping as well as RV camping. Can’t wait for our next road trip!

Please add amenities like laundry and more specific accepted vehicles like camper vans or car camping in general. Some hosts are vague about it and don’t accept it and won’t provide a refund. It also leaves guests to scramble to find alternative accommodations for the night. That’s not always easy in a large camper van.

This site is absolutely amazing, beautiful, calm, relaxing, etc! I love it enough to do a review but don’t want to share LOL. I do highly recommend this site if you’re looking to just be off the grid for a day or more!

Love the ability to find campgrounds you won’t find anywhere else.

We stayed here last minute. The hosts are so nice and even provided us with firewood for the night. Hospitality is superior to other properties. Nice flat spots for tents, privacy and stars. We definitely will be back. Thank you

I have a customer who needs help but we cannot get a response from Hipcamp. I am so tired of Ai chatbots that are a waste of our time

Highest recommendation! Want to unplug along a clear and clean river where the campsites are the cleanest you will ever find, this is the spot! Camp Host Tom is the best, hands down! Can’t say enough about the feeling of safety, privacy, and sheer beauty at our Campsite 7 as well as all the others we peeked at during our walks and river visits. Best experience in every aspect of all our travels - more than 10 out of 10! Special thanks to Tom!!

We enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at many RV resorts and being under a covering was definitely a plus. It was very clean and quiet. Great communication with the owner.

Great place to stay. Host was wonderful. Site kept clean and neat. Awesome place to stay, able to go bike riding and other activities. Weather was great. Nightly group camp fire with all guests.

My husband and I took one look at the yurt we would be staying in for two evenings and knew we had hit the jackpot! We had a fire each night, watched the stars, and sat mesmerized by the beautiful view of the water. This very special spot provided a lovely holiday for the two of us. We highly recommend this heavenly spot.

Absolutely beautiful!! The host is very friendly and checks on you. Unfortunately we had to end our trip early. Andrew had to be the bearer of bad news. He delivered a msg to our site that a best friend of ours had passed. It was the perfect peaceful place to reflect on all the memories. We will be back!!

Our stay at Haw ridge was amazing . The views are like no other . The Sunsets and Sun rises are out of this world . It has an amazing fire ring . Picnic table and a very large private lot . We definitely recommend to everyone looking for amazing places to camp !

This was my fourth time that I have been there, it is amazing, quiet, clean place. I recommend 100%.

The Hummingbird is an oasis of life and love. The horses,pigs, ducks and donkeys are the sweetest creatures. Stayed two nights tent camping and we will be back. God bless Susan for taking care of the sweetish animals. Go there, it’s awesome for your soul.

Hip camp is a cool app that has allowed me to find camping space easily. I like the ability to sort by amenities. I just wish I could sort by distance. It is easier to go to map view to see proximity to you. I have already found several enjoyable sites. Booking is easy. I also like the text and phone options after booking a site. It is easy to communicate with land owners.

Relaxing, quiet, and clean spot near I-90 expressway. We needed a easy overnight place to stay on our journey through the area.

I like being able to instantly see my dashboard and messages. I would like more property editing and management to be able to be done with the app is all.

Host are the best folks we have met on our travel's. We highly recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet out of the way back to nature experience!

I was so lucky to get to camp here on the same day I found it on the app! Greg and Shari are friendly and great hosts. Loved all the touches of flowers in my camp and lights in the trees are so pretty. I stayed in spot #3. I look forward to coming back again soon.

I love Hipcamp. Great app, great experience. I do have a suggestion. Navigating to the campsite can be a problem as the map apps are often inaccurate. There is a navigation app that really could solve this problem. Would you consider adding “what three words” location to the app? If the campsite owner were to provide these it would allow accuracy to Within 3 ft of a location. The app is on the App Store easy to integrate into your app.

Nathan was a great host, his chickens eggs were delicious and the site was very clean. We had a very relaxing time and for sure would return for another stay.

Great app. Easy to use and works well. It would be even better if I could get rid of the pop up that asks me to send the info to my companions on the trip. It blocks a quarter of my screen and has no way to swipe or click away.

Generators allowed and electric hookup or electric at all. These items are only listed after you click the location then the site. It would be nice to filter these, especially for RVs.

I’ve been in multiple camping trips over the years and Hipcamp has maintained a high quality with its hosts. There was one odd booking where the host was trying to be shady, and Hipcamp staff took care if it immediately. The app is a little bit buggy, but I’m still rating 5 stars because the actual platform is so good.

Everything was neat and tidy. Great experience..at the Pirate’s Den property! we enjoy sitting around the fire, the temp at night was around 60 Location? Oh couldn't be better! Close to Homasasa, Crystals River and Ozello trail. Easy to use app. The reviews from other campers is extremely helpful. We have met wonderful people.

I love love love this app! The website isn’t as easy to manage or sort and filter but the app is well worth the download. The only drawback I have is that eventhough I have signed up to receive alerts from hipcamp, I don’t so I tend to miss messages from hosts.

We love Hipcamp! We stayed at a lovely location in Long Beach, WA and since then have used the site for camping reservations! Lots of good choices!

I am always amazed by the unique options for camping and glamping across the country. Recently used in Australia as well and it worked great! I also love collecting Hipcamp patches :)

Hipcamp is an ingenious way to connect people together and help us bond through a mutual respect and love of the outdoors! Had so much fun at Casita in the Hills Ranch down in Texas!!!! Will definitely book more trips!!!!

It was a very pleasant stay, Tammy was a very good host! I felt very comfortable. The area is so beautiful. The campsite is very well maintained, the bathrooms are in perfect condition and really new. I would definitely return to this place!

Spur of the moment spontaneous adventure- my wife and I found Hickory Nut Point Friday afternoon about 3:00 on Hipcamp. We decided to make the short 40 minute drive. We were greeted by Cameron who graciously gave us a tour of his great property. We camp out of a Jeep Wrangler, so we set up camp, ate dinner while admiring the great view of the lake. Exceptionally beautiful with grand oaks covered in Spanish moss. Super quiet. Occasional moo from local cows and a flock of chickens that pass by from time to time. Clean, organized and with a great host who answers any questions quickly.

Great concept but this app crashes every time I try to tap on a site I'm interested in. Couldn't book anything if I tried.

I would love the ability to share lists I create with people I am planning trips with!
