HomeBot for Shortcuts App Reviews

I have used this app to create several HomeKit shortcuts to do more complicated or specific automations, such as gradually dimming a light which is not something HomeKit supports. However, learning how to use the app’s actions takes some time as there aren’t any useful instructions, just some basic examples. And I continually get the error “Could Not Run Run Home Action: Missing entitlement for API”

It’s easy to overlook the power of this app. When you look at the Homebot actions within Shortcuts, you only see two listed. However, you can extract very specific details regarding each of your HomeKit devices. For example, I was able to generate a csv file that listed each device (and it’s name, room, and service type) by using HomeBot. Was not clear when purchasing this that the shortcuts you make with this only work when the app is visible. That makes this much less useful than I thought it would be!

I am fairly certain that the app isn't required to be open; not sure why they felt the need to slam the app/dev for what appears to be their own mistake (not dev)

Just wish there was a way to round the temperature sensor measurements report to display temperatures to a whole or a tenth degree.

I like the concept as it adds two nice features to Apple’ Shortcuts for getting and changing HomeKit data. The major downside is the almost total lack of documentation (except for a few limited examples. The issue is that though there are only two new Shortcut items, each has lots of sub-values which can be entered…. Manually debugging with the sample screen coming up each run is annoying . How do I turn that off? A little polishing is needed
