Before the site was bought out by home exchange we had so many inquiries. It stayed OK for awhile. Now they charge per year and I hardly ever get inquiries, and other petiole won't book for points which makes half the system moot. Maybe there is an algorithm working against us. Hoping it gets better because we really enjoy.

This is a great way to travel around the world like a local. I enjoy playing host in my home to people from all continents. I wish the app had better features to be able to sort incoming messages from those interested in visiting my home by destination, etc. so I can search for them later.

We had a finalized exchange cancelled a couple of weeks before due. The exchanged placed a dozen or more queries for a replacement. Fortunately we located a replacement from the large number of members in our destination city. So it ended up very well in the end.

We’ve been using the platform for a few months and find it easy to navigate.

We signed up with Home Exchange about 4 months ago and already had a family stay at our place and we were lucky enough to find a beautiful apartment in Paris during a layover. We love to connect with people from all over the world - it adds a whole new dimension to traveling! Especially for families, who often travel on a tighter budget Home Exchange makes dreams come true. Highly recommend this app!

We live in Costa Rica and have been members since 2020. We’ve done many exchanges and have never had a problem. Stayed in many awesome places, have had great folks stay at our house and take great care of kitties! That said, my main issue is, if we send out 5 requests for an exchange, maybe only ONE member even responds… I’ve even had a member respond to my request SIX months after my initial inquiry! Really terrific way to gain an intimate look at a neighborhood instead of being overwhelmed by tourist traps. An excellent way to travel!

Wanted to like this but it’s just not easy at all. Perhaps because I live in Europe— and people are very interested in my place HOWEVER never at the same time and then you try the guest points only to discover you’ll never get to use them!! 90% of users don’t want. Maybe more. You've been warned.
