Scooters great, some annoying app features
Scooters are great, some a little hesitant on the throttle but all good. Annoying in the app that when you end a ride, you have to take a picture of the parking space, seems completely unnecessary and you can’t get back to the app until you do, so I just take a picture of the ground
great app
very fast and effective. im from puerto rico and my phone number worked just fine. scooters were very high quality and fast.
Awesome Company
It took only a few minutes to complete the sign-up process, then I was on my way. The scooter is fast and the payment rate was ideal. Mahalo for the experience, won’t find anything similar in Hawaii(I think).
From download to riding in 1 minute
Super easy to get started and use. Visiting Iceland from the US I wanted an easy way to get around Reykjavik. Setting up an account was super easy and only took a minute; all that was needed was my phone number and credit card.
Hopp scooter review
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had definitely recommend I explored all around Iceland with these scooters
Good option.
We used from the airport to downtown and was a very convenient option.
Convenient until its not
Rode somewhere about an hour and a half walk from my room, paused the ride, and when I was ready to go back to my room, the scooter wouldn’t unlock to resume my ride. Customer support was unresponsive and not helpful, and I had to pay 4000 isk to leave it there instead of returning it to where I got it.
EDIT: They emailed me back and asked for my phone number, and after giving it to them they said they would refund my pause and parking fees, which I appreciated. Changing my review from 1 star t
Hi Hopper
Great scooter to get around in there’s a few of them to say they’re down for maintenance. I just need to figure out the app I guess but the other thing is I wish that the phone holder was a little more convenient so you can see and use maps on your phone.

Useful but not good
Useful since it seems the only other way to hail a cab in Iceland is to call. But often just gives up looking for a driver without finding one, even in downtown Reykjavík; so, you can end up stranded. Also super expensive (relative to, say, even yellow cabs in NYC).
You’re getting charged regardless
Wife’s scooter kept giving an unlock fail message. We got charged $5 for her scooter and the $5 for my scooter even though we had to abandon them and “reported” an issue at the end. Kind of pricey and especially pricey when you’re charged for rides you couldn’t use.
