I like having all the hostels and small private rooms in one simple place and app. Find cheap stays. Never had an issue with it.

I had a devil of a time getting this app to work for me. Don’t use apple relay mail to sign in! I was caught in a terrible loop and ended up having to delete the app. But the good thing is that Angelo in customer service helped me so things are good now.

This app makes backpacking the world safe and easy.

Been using it before apps were a thing. Usually awesome. Just be care not to book anything with a late check in time for the next day. The app should really just give you military time relative to the locale that you’re checking into in order to avoid confusion. Otherwise use it. It rocks.

Ive used this app for many years now to book hostels. Its been really good and owned by Booking.com so I use both sites when looking for housing. Easy to use and it remembers where I stayed as well so I can look back and reference price/cost.

My friend booked a hostel and invited me to join the trip but it’s not showing up on my bookings why is that ?

It’s great for finding places and relatively easy to navigate; however, the app is full of bugs. I cannot view/edit profile as an error pops up every time. Maybe I’m dumb but I’ve been trying randomly for about a year. Still recommended by me though.

I love seeing all the places I’ve been and now it’s so annoying to see. You have to go deep into settings and it keeps making you hit load more every 3. Like no I wanna have a dedicated page to all the places I’ve been !!!!

Such a great app for travelers. Easy to book hostels/rooms Chat feature needs major work. Lots of bugs when you try and message individual travelers. Please fix this!!

The budget world traveler’s very best friend! If a property is on Hostel World and has recent reviews, I feel like I have a real idea of what to expect.. Backpackers and seasoned travelers love this app. The best!

I like it cause it shows you the reviews and mal of every location. Gives you the chance to mingle with other people on the app. As a solo traveler i like to have that option. Would recommend.

I’ve been using this app since 2016. I used to be able to leave reviews for hostels. Now I can’t find any option to leave reviews the day I leave or later on. Unless it’s deceptively well hidden (which Idk why it would be), there seems to be a bug in which the option to leave a review is not present for iphone

Solo traveler here. This app really makes the otherwise stressful experience of traveling and finding rooms so much easier and more affordable. Make sure you book as far in advance as you (reasonably) can you ensure a spot at some of the busier spots!

Love the app. Use it all the time but there’s no “favorite” button anymore to save hostels ina folder.

I’ve tried a few times to save my card and when I go to use it later it says invalid and I have to re-enter it even though the info is correct

Easy to book, great reviews of places and photos. I’ve only used Hostelworld for bookings around the world for the last 7 years and loved it

Booking takes far too long to be acceptable. Otherwise easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.

Searching and getting properties on the search is hard. Sometimes even hard to select the dates although it says available on the calendar. If those 2 things can be improved it would be a very good app.

This app seems awesome so far, just what I was looking for, but it keeps freezing up on the “where are you going page” no matter how many times I reload it so I can’t use it

Title says it all. It’s honestly probably the best app I’ve ever used, all things considered. Very functional and easy to use with every feature I could ever want. I ALWAYS use this app while traveling.

No actual experience yet, but looks very good. Comprehensive website and easy to use.

I have used HostelWorld for years and have stayed at over 20 properties with them. However, a recent bad experience with them has really soured my perception, and after hearing bad stories from others related to extra fees and lack of flexibility with bookings, I really think the service has gone downhill over the years. I am quite disappointed and will not be booking with HostelWorld again in the future.
