HP 15C Calculator App Reviews

Thanks for giving the emulator’s vertical layout the same features as the original calculator and the horizontal layout.

The calculator is always with me for quick answers.

This is good and will become great if dev can update it similarly to 12c in portrait mode.

I have had a HP 15 C since the early 1980s (1983 I think). This emulator works just like my original HP 15 which I still have.. But this way I don’t have to expose my heirloom calculator to getting dinged up.

Great app. One of my GOTO’s. Minor glitch? If either the f or g key is pressed in error, pressing either again does not deselect it. Keep up the good work.

Love the new update! The vertical layout in particular! This has been my main calculator app for a while and it only got better!

When my HP 15C died many years ago, I replaced it with a newer HP model - which I never liked as much as my old 15C. I’ve been very happy with this app ever since I found it years ago. I use it both on my phone and iPad.

I love this app but the latest update messed up the number display on the iPhone 11. Hopefully fixed soon. 5 stars when fixed!

Regardless of the reviews not liking the layout, I love it! You can still opt for the previous layout and the landscape option is still there too. Good job!

I still have my 15c from the 80s and still use it. So I was thrilled when the 15c app was originally released for the iPhone. I'm so happy to see the latest update and know that it has not been abandoned.

Great update to the app!

HP designed for hand-held programming. Ideal for STEM-bound students and Professionals. Includes most common mathematical functions and constants.

Trying to use my purchased calculator and it will not work with the IOS. Needs to be updated..

The vertical orientation places the digits below the display. The horizontal position is fine. All else seems ok.

upgraded on 5/5/21. the portrait (basic calc mode) on my 2020 iPad Air still has the numbers shifted up out of the display window. Looks good on my mini and iphone.

The best calculator for my use. Love RPN.

The portrait mode has a bug… the display is shifted so that numbers are shifted to the right it’s no aligned with the display window.

I still use my 16C Programmer calculator. I'd really like to see a good version as an app. (One non-HP app is out there but not as high quality.) Give me access to your code and I'd write for free!

Now that the calculator division is under “new management”, could we please get an update to stop the display flashing? Write a simple program. Run it. Display flashes. Even just pressing R/S. This is not how a real HP 15C works. 15C is still an amazing calculator, just wish implementation on iOS was done a little better, a little more care taken, especially by the company that designed and produced it.

Love the app, but the numbers when using portrait orientation are not aligning with the graphics. Calculator works, but alignment is off.

HP created an actual emulator of the ROM of the original HP-15C. Therefore, guaranteed to be faithful emulation of the original! As is the case with the other HP Voyager series calculators. Excellent! My only wish is that HP would release the HP-16C computer scientist calculator as well so I can complete my collection!

Superb software reproduction of the original, outstanding HP 15C pocket calculator! Works well on iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro 11” with iOS 17.

Those absolutely isolated the HP calculators from everything. Why can’t we copy and paste to and from their digital calculators? Maybe it can and I am just ignorant as to how? I’m a HO-41c users from forty years ago and it is still my favorite! It is so fast! But try getting the result from the calculator to anything else and you are stuck!
