Hue TV App Reviews

I was very surprised how well this actually works! If you are not using your phone or have a secondary device, this app is amazing! There is basically no lag in transition from screen to lights. There is multiple settings that can allow you to manually adjust the syncing if you feel like it’s just not quit enough or is too much. This is one of the best sync hue apps out there!

I’ve used this app for over a year now. It is a must for movie night. Easy connection. I use my iPad at the camera for light syncing. I have used my phone when needed with no issues. You just have to have a good enough angle to see the whole picture without being a distraction for your viewing. I normally use a coffee table or back corner of the couch. Needed update, being able to select where on the screen each light selects color from. Love this app

The fact that you can resize the area to be captured made a whole difference!

I really appreciate the ability to crop the TV screen within the cameras view. Surprised similar apps haven't done this. Need some info on initial setup and finding hubs. Can't wait to see what updates bring.

Everything works fine, except that it can't focus very well on the image. I can't figure why. The camera focus works just fine using the camera app of the system itself. My device is iPad mini 2. Could you please check it out?

Works great. Music videos like Hotline Bling work awesome. Live music Concerts are awesome too. Like it a lot.

Love all but would love to see ability to tag lights and if on left or right side of tv. Also need more options for the camera since colors wash out when in a dark room with only a few lights on. Besides those points. Not a bad app!

Very cool! Works with any movie or TV show. I have no delay with my Hue bulbs. My only wish is that dark scenes a would dim the light to darken the room. Great job team!

App works very well. I bought all Hue apps. This has the most features.

App sure adds intensity to the room. Works GREAT!!!!

Would get the full 5 stars if the bulbs would turn off on dark scenes. When watching in the dark, scenes aren't as powerful when the screen goes dark, but bulbs keep last color used. Other than that the progression and settings are great.

If you’ve got an old iPad lying around, this can add some real ambiance with the LIFX Z or Hue Lightstrip.
