Still the best app to write notes.

I used google docs for my personal notes until one day I had shoddy internet and realized how awful it is to lose access to something important that you wrote down. I now use iA Writer which allows you to save your notes in markdown from iPhone, syncs via iCloud, and then I can continue from my laptop. Admittedly the native Notes app has some better functionality around sharing and searching. However, Notes saves into a SQLite db, which would be fine, but it’s not trivial to view the tables/sch

All the newly added functionality about linking documents together and hashtags and stuff make it up to a really robust personal writing archive. Well done and thank you! Also the fonts are ❤️

I like the fact that it is not a subscription-based application, while providing a very simple and care-free interface for composing text. In many other apps, their auto-complete features can get in your way. Here, the feature is most often useful, and much less frequently a distraction.

I love it like cake.

I love how simple this app is for writing. Keeps things clean and to the point. It forces me to keeps things to the point. 💪🏻

The only feature I think it lacks is an app lock. Either passcode or face ID because without such a feature anyone could access your work & either delete it or simply just invade your privacy. I do tend to hand my phone over to quite a bit of people on a daily basis & sometimes I even walk away. Its for work purposes but also I tend to be trusting of others. I also do having the confidence that what needs to be behind an app lock is behind an app lock all except this app & all of my work.

Would like more fonts. Large fonts to send to visually impaired Ditto Simpler to use options; I get mixed up.

With iA nothing can go wrong. Nothing that can't be made better that is. Brilliant. Intuitive. Fast as you want. Word clarity abounds with this writing program.

Highlight colors, wiki links, auto detection of links, content blocking. Suddenly IA writer became a powerful tool in my opinion. As a long time user I am always excited by their solid stable releases. Now with more features only thing I want to be sure is they are not losing the stability. So far I am a fan for these updates. Thank you !! This is awesome

Minimalist with great features. Sure others can compete, but you won’t be sad ever with this app.

This app has become a big part of daily work and writing. Just waiting for one feature that never seems to come : folding sections. Especially on a phone, if a document gets to ant length at all it makes navigating unwieldy and impractical.

To replace Obsidian, just need a Daily Notes feature like what Obsidian does, and it would be nice if also has anchor links.

I love iA Writer. The attention to detail and the thought and care they show in this app makes it my go to writing app. Thank You iA writer team. Top Marks!! The Latest Update is an absolute cracker. The addition of wiki links makes this such a great tool for a simple Zettelkasten system

Still my go-to writing app after all these years. Whether journaling, writing first drafts, or taking notes. Love the simplicity and support for keyboard shortcuts. Great app! Thank you and thanks for keeping it going!
