12 Positive User Reviews for ICN Food List

Food

The app has great intentions but certainly does not have the variety of foods I was hoping for. Definitely falls short......

Basic

It gives a basic list of what to avoid and what you can possibly try. Really short list and limited varieties. A ton of food items it doesn’t list so I don’t know if they are ok or not. Needs to expand so much but if you just start out with IC helps with basic food items.

Saved my life

So many things I thought no way would hurt my bladder I learned would. Took the 'freak out' out of my flairs!

Can we trust it?

It’s kind of hard to trust the app when they say “caution!” for pecans but then recommend KIND bars with pecans...

Basic List with Limitations

Really nice list of basic foods. I like that they categorize the items into friendly, try it, and caution. However, I wish they had a search feature to look up foods instead of having to hunt for them. Would also like to see more food types listed.

ICN Food List

App is very helpful tool. Great assist when grocery shopping. Would love an ICN Cookbook app

Great!

Such an easy app to use! You are able to easily search for either ingredients or foods and check to see if they are friendly, try it or caution. It’s not the largest list of items so be sure to check with your doctor and use caution trying items not listen but overall a great and helpful app!

Fantastically Simple

As someone who is just entering the complex world of IC, this app has been a godsend in its simplicity. The rating system is straightforward and effective - and that sentiment applies to the design of the app, as well. It is direct, easy to navigate, and quick to read. Cannot support this app enough. Saves me hours of research and I could not be happier.

Very helpful and useful

I started using this app after being diagnosed with IC I find it very useful only thing I wish it had was an option to mark the foods that I’m able to or can’t eat some of the green zone are triggers for me and I’d like to be able to track what try it foods that gave me triggers or what was safe to eat. Otherwise this app is great I'm able to look up foods when not home and not having to carry my IC diet book.

3 Negative User Reviews for ICN Food List

Needs revision and more features

I wish there was more to this app. You’d think for the price there would be a more extensive list and other functions (food diary, recipes, and different types of lists of you have an additional allergy or sensitivity). Also it’s confusing because like it says I can eat things like pumpkin pie but when you look up the ingredients to pumpkin pie some aren’t safe. I have believed this app, ate something they said was safe, and then had a flare and ended up in pain!

Just use google

I’m kind of sorry I spent money on this app. It’s a nice list, but not at all exclusive. Chocolate is bad - what about white or macha chocolate? Molasses? It’s also VERY preachy about fat, sugar, artificial flavoring, etc. I honestly wonder if some foods are on the bad list not because they cause IC, but because the developers think they’re unhealthy. Arbitrary. I need an IC only guide. I already know dyed popsicles aren’t the best food choice.

App crashes when you use search bar

You can only find foods by scrolling tediously through categories. You can’t use the search bar causes the app to close and crash.
