This app is essentially a wrapper for an AUv3 that is a solid, if not underwhelming, sample playback engine. I would have liked to see the ability to play whole sections, etc. but as it stands, it is a good orchestral plugin, with a novel way to add articulations. I think it faces serious competition on the “expressive orchestral” plugin land, GeoShred with SWAM instruments comes to mind, but it is solid enough to warrant a purchase if you regularly use orchestral sounds.

Great to see an AUV3 with good orchestral sounds! It has enough instruments to sketch a decent score, the articulations are few but well chosen, and the sounds are great for arranging on the go. It also has a very clear interface, which is a plus. It has just come out, so there are a couple of things that could be improved, though, like the mod and pitch wheels effectively stopping you from pressing keys on the screen (big problem for orchestral playing), and it would be nice to arrange the pr

I have a 64gb iPad and I ran out of space so I need the option of installing the sound on a sd card in order for me to use this app until then I can’t use the app.

I have a lot of AU’s parked on my iPad with little use to me. The quality of this app is pretty stunning, for me. Sure, I can see that if the rods are going out in your Retina, the app may be a little too dark. However, will this app be in my live playing and mobile recording? Absolutely!

this is the orchestral app I have been waiting for on ios. the only thing that is a bummer is it does not work with GR2 DAW yet. hopefully it’s coming soon in a future update. also a midi learn function could be a great future update, so one could easily map midi knobs to controls. still giving it 5 stars though. because it is perfect for ios

This is so worth it, the only problem I’m facing on iPad is that there should be an option to route velocity to modwheel on sustain or others that use it as dynamics, as the scoring program (flat.io) I use uses velocity, not mod wheel, and I can’t figure out how to do it, if I can even switch it, besides that, perfect (figured out how to fix this) Update: ok so I really like this but one Issue or suggestion: I wish you could more intuitively select instrument based on placement like in BBC Symp

Buggy install had to install content again in cubasis after 1.8 gb install. was able to get it working on iPhone but no dice 🎲 on iPad iOS 17 2nd gen iPad Pro. Works in cubasis not in AUM only on my iPad for some reason. Restarted again to no avail. Sounds good from what I have heard of it will change review once that gets sorted! Update: Latest update fixed this deleted the original app- reinstalled and redownloaded the library- i believe it didn’t download the factory content properly original

This is a very good app, but it's missing just a couple of things. Solo strings like a violin and cello would be great. And how about an ensemble patch that is for strings, brass, woodwinds. That would make things a lot easier.

I just bought this, and I want to love it, but it's virtually unusable because it's so dark I can barely see anything. Please, Steinberg, remember that functional design is way more imprtant than someone's idea of a cool look. I'll amend this review when the developers clean up their interface so that everything is easy to see. For now, though, this app is literally unusable.

Fine stars for the great sounds! ONE star for for USER INTERFACE. Grey on Grey colors? The top row of items (undescernable, due to little to NO contrast. Also, whats's with the super small text sizes? Are you afraid we might be able to read it? You want to save the company some money? FIRE all the Qualty Control Dept., Fire ALL the Supervisors in the chain of command, fire the Artsey-Fartsey Dept. , fire ALL the VP's and give some of that money back to the developers.
