I love this app, and it’s awesome. However, there’s currently a bug that prevents me from adding a tag to a saved post. Whenever I try to add a tag, the app freezes and crashes.

I need a replacement for the Pocket read it later app. Although Instapaper seems to be the best alternative right now, it falls short of what I was used to. Instapaper is great for short web articles, but falls flat on longer multi-page articles. If I have to go through and download each page individually, there’s really no need for this app is there ?

Instapaper is able to pull text from the BibleProject articles which Pocket wasn’t able. Now I can read the articles on my Kobo! I’m giving it a 5⭐️ for this win.

Tried it, didn’t keep it. I liked the UI and had no initial pains with saving from my usual spots (Apple News, web articles, emails). I REALLY didn’t like the TTS voices compared to those of Reader by Readwise (which admittedly is far more expensive). For me the TTS experience is crucial, so until this app’s voices no longer sound like 2014 TTS robots, I won’t be coming back.

Love this app. Super clean. One request, please allow for proper saving of YouTube videos. Currently when saving YouTube vids, no title appears in the saved list, just “YouTube -“. Thank you!

AI voices- finally! Plug for 1.25x speed 😀

It’s fantastic at stripping the garbage out of articles, in my RSS feed, and in Google News, just giving me the content. From the app it’s easy to share content via email or text. I do pay for premium and am a longtime user. The only features that I find somewhat lacking are the AI summaries and the now lost ability to share articles automatically to sites like Bluesky or X.

Your Speak feature isn’t working. Deleted and reloaded the app still an issue, can we get another update.

Instapaper is the first paid app I ever bought over 10 years ago and it’s my favorite app that I’ve ever found. It’s the app that convinced me that paying for apps can be worth it. The new 8.6 update with summaries is the icing on the cake. I also really like that I can customize the icons on the bottom to delete instead of archive. This is the app that allows me to be a sponge for information. I couldn’t do it without Instapaper.

I love this app so so much, but I wish I could download EPUBs to it! I has my favorite reading settings, so I want to read all my books here! Does anyone know if this is possible?

The recent update was supposed to fix the issue with the Speak tool freezing but it's still doing it. Please fix this. The app is great otherwise but this makes it very difficult to use.

I used to be a Pocket user but this app is so much better. I really enjoy using it with my E-ink tablet. Highly recommend. 👍

iOS 17.5.1 Instapaper 8.6.2 Premium subscription Instapaper will search for text and identify which documents have that text, however the “Search in Article” option within an article has disappeared. It use to show up clicking the three dots for more, is no longer in the drop down. How can that functionality be restored? Search is virtually useless without it.

I'll load up a list of articles I want/need to read and listen to them as I drive or do other things. Don't know what I would do without this app!

After using Pocket since it was new, switched to Instapaper because Pocket removed way to many basic features. So happy I switched. Far better, better design, better fonts, etc. Might even consider paying just to support them.

Looking for a Pocket replacement that isn’t a mess. Came here from Raindrop after they added AI junk to their service. Now Instapaper will hallucinate the contents of articles for me, or read it out in a creepy AI voice. I can’t wait for this bubble to pop and these tech companies to stop chasing this awful trend.

Revision: I’m revising my rating from 4 stars to two. Not only does the new version hang when transitioning to and from the car but you have to get all the way out, delete finished stories and create a new playlist but you still can’t forward to the next story without finishing the current one. It glitches though as it hangs when it is synced with my car and I get a call. It’s really hard to get it going again without stopping the car. There also needs to be a way to skip to the next story witho

This was a generally great app for my needs. I am much more of an auditory absorber of information and this app was generally very good at it. But with the new “AI” voices update, the overall user experience has degraded. I am looking forward to the future improvements so I can return to my five star appreciation

Not only has the price of the subscription doubled in the last few months, but subscribing in the app DOES NOT unlock the premium features for this app. If you try and reach out to the devs for help they'll simply ignore you.
