IP Camera Pro App Reviews

I mostly use this for the video server functionality, in conjunction with my Synology media server. MJPEG works, but there’s no audio. H.264 does not work at all with the Synology. I’ve tried a bunch of iOS apps to use my iPhone as a security camera — this the only one I found works at all with my Synology. But since I don’t get any audio, it’s only marginally useful.

I first used the free version and then was able to export my settings to this paid version of the app. Overall this app is very flexible for converting iPhones into ip cameras.

It would be great if there was a setting to send an http request when motion is detected. This will allow better possibilities with homekit motion accessories using the “Homebridge Camera FFmpeg” plugin. Please add the ability to send an http request when motion is detected.

Works great with OBS. Nice range of different configuration settings. I would like the ability to use 60fps as currently it maxes out at 30.

How about some low light conditions settings/controls?

I don’t see what motion detection does ? Can someone tell me how to use it ? I hope it allows for auto recording on motion.

I use this app to turn my iPad into a supplemental camera for live streaming public events. The camera is added as a source in wire cast, along with three other cameras. My only complaint about this app is the lack of manual focus. The camera will auto focus several times a minute, and this can be very distracting. I want to be able to press on the screen to focus the camera on that spot.

Thought it was a great app, can’t get the ftp to work and no contact info provided for support, and the support page doesn’t have anything about ftp

Good: Works with Contacam and IP Cam Viewer (Android). Allows ftp uploads. Bad: crashes when: connecting via web Using motion detection for more than a few minutes at a time It doesn’t delete after ftp upload even with box checked to do that. It doesn’t capture images from motion detection, only video. No option to record all the time Streaming at highest resolution causes half the screen to pixelate.
