iQuassel for Quassel Cores App Reviews

It works like a very light weight client. However, it is missing features like highlight on keywords or highlight on handle and it doesn't run in the background, it has to be active to get alerts. For costing money, you would think that this port would have at least the same features as the free desktop client.

It functions enough to use for quassel but there doesn’t seem to be any active development for this app anymore. Last update was over a year ago. It has a few bugs like broken reconnections and the ui can go for some improvement. It’s the only quassel app for iOS though so it is what it is. I’ll just use blink and irc from a terminal.

I actually bumped the rating up when I realized that you can indeed see more buffer by pulling down on the top (typical iOS refresh style). The app does still show the login screen or have minor issues connecting sometimes where you have to tap connect again. I wish there were more settings in the app as well. Such as making all the default instead of recent. It would also be nice if the text input didn’t require you to drag the channel text upward to get to it.

App was 3 star at best, now fully broken in 15.1 Developer has clearly abandoned app, don’t waste your time. Edit: so not abandonware, dev update resolved issue.

Option for a monospaced font would be nice

Works as advertised; I've been waiting for iPhone support for the longest time and its finally here. I logged in and saw all my channels just fine. Like the description says, this app requires the Quassel core on a server.

I could not figure out how to: close or delete a buffer; connect or disconnect an existing IRC server/network. Also it disconnects from my Quassel Core often. No lost data but it's annoying.

It only gets three stars as the only iOS quassel client. As already mentioned in other reviews, it misses some basic features that shouldn't be difficult to implement and would make a world of difference to usability.

It is mind blowing that people pay up to $25 per person per month when IRC is alive and kicking and works beautifully from anywhere with this amazing tool!

It’s nice to have an app in the App Store but the Android version is substantially well build looks like this app hasn’t been updated in years. Would be great if the community could contribute more to improve this app.
