Love the board game and app is just as fun

We have board game night with our friends and first started playing this game with our friends. It’s one of our top favorite games we’ve played so far and we’ve played our fair share of them. The app is just as fun but I wish they would add the mocha and letter expansion!! So much more fun!

Great implementation but serious game bug

I love the game and the app is well designed but I’ve discovered a bug in the current version that allows me to pay fewer resources than required under a specific scenario. If you visit any of the Warehouse, you can get more resources than your cart fits. Then if you spend resources at the Mosque you will spend the virtual resources that you don’t actually have. Please fix this because it is a big exploitable hole.

Wonderful except…

It makes me have to tap something to do things that I HAVE to do…. Like taking goods..And it doesn’t end my turn automatically even when there’s nothing I can do. Also, every time it’s my turn The game is interrupted for a couple seconds to tell me, which is unnecessary and is a constant frustration. Please release update to fix this!

Problems

Why does it clearly state you cannot move diagonally and yet everyone moves diagonally? The tutorial freezes after the first few pages. The AI does actions it cannot do in a physical game.

Every Day Play

Great game, moves quick, challenging AI, great replay ability. I play this a few times a day.

No Expansions!

I’m a big fan of the board so this is a good version of it. I just wish that they would make the expansions for it.

Great digital adaptation

This is a very nice, quick adaptation of the great board game. I love that you can randomize them board with one tap before the game and also randomize the number of opponents and their skill/difficulty level with one tap. My only desire is for the addition of the expansions.

Great app, no bugs or crashes

This has been an excellent app version of the board game. We play it frequently as it is much faster than setting up the actual board. I have never been any issues with bugs or crashes. My only request is that they would add the expansions to the app.

Phenomenal Game But After Years We Need the Expansions

This is a great port of a great game. The unique aesthetic has been well-translated, the AIs are difficult and play well, and the game functions without a hitch. But, years after release of the base game, we really need the expansions: Mocha and Baksheesh, as well as Letters and Seals.

Where Are The Ladies!?

This is a wonderful game. I was unfamiliar with the rules, but the tutorial is a good one. The art is beautiful and my family enjoys the pass and play feature. Only one question remains...why are all of the avatars men. Give us some ladies, please!

Online version SO BUGGY

Playing with the AIs works well, but the online part of the game to play with other people is constantly full of glitches and bugs. It’s never ending. So frustrating.

The real game is missing

What makes Istanbul so great is the Great Bazaar! Having the base game only makes this average at best as everyone has to use a similar strategy. I would like a refund until the full game is added please and thank you!

Found a bug

Love it so far! Found a bug though... reproduction steps: send your cousin to the black market, choose pineapple, then choose skip to not use your mosque ability to reroll/set the dice. I did receive my jewels, but I didn’t get my pineapple!

Great Implementation

I have played several online and offline matches, and have had no issues so far.

No player notifications

Would have been a five except for the lack of any notifications of player turns. Excellent port of the board game.

Just need turn alerts

Game is very fun and UI is well done. Would be 5 Star if it offered a notification that it is your turn. Maybe just a bug...

Just amazing

VERY FUN VERY CHALLENGING VERY INTERESTING Just get it. It has online multiplayer as well but it’s insanely fun with local too.

The rules aren’t right...

Some of the rules aren’t right.

Good adaptation

Easy to understand, tutorial is well designed. Online play is good once it is rolling but unless you specifically turn on notifications for it you can miss your turn.

Ruby in the Rough

Great all around board game. I still haven’t figured out the online multiplayer, but the AI is really excellent tons pay against thus far.

Good game

Great game. Would be nice to have a way to go to next game without having to exit to lobby and also notifications don't always work properly like clearing if you don't go to lobby or settings after take your turn etc.

One of the best board games is now a great port!

Very impressed with the port to mobile on this game! Plays smooth, but I wish more players were online...

Great implementation of great game.

Great implementation of great game. AI’s in expert mode are pretty tough competition.

Very good implementation of a favorite board game

I really enjoy the unique movement mechanics in this game. The bright colors also help give me a cheery disposition.

Great adaptation!

Love this game and the digital version is fantastic. Hoping the expansions will be available at some point too! My only complaint is that the game seems to be a pretty significant battery drain. I've seen 20% or more in a single game.

Addictive

Fantastic game with no bugs so far! Can you please add a companion tool so that people who own the physical boardgame can use the app to randomize the starting placement of location tiles? Thanks!

Fantastic

Beautiful implementation. Runs great on my iPad running 12.3.1 Easy access to the rules, information on the tiles and cards with just a tap, undo, etc. I really enjoy it.

Great port, but...

...I just played a game in which I purchased the “5th assistant” mosque tile. At a later point in the game I returned to the fountain, chose “return selected assistants”, and found I only had 4 assistants total. One had disappeared.

When is Istanbul Dice coming!!!?

Good game. Now we need Istanbul Dice!

The community is dead! The game is great

The game UX is awesome. Loved it. But the online community is so dead that I regret making this purchase. Maybe spend some marketing money to fix this problem.

Superb

A phenomenal adaptation of an excellent game.

Where’s the coffee?

Pretty please make the Baksheesh and coffee version!!!! I know 4 other people who would also pay for this!!! PLEASE!
