Great app for accompaniment

This is truely great app. My old electronic tanpura broke so I tried it out. The quality of sound is truely close to the real thing. The swarmandal is great. I recommend this app to anyone who needs to practice music.

great app!

I had iTanpura Lite for a couple of days before I upgraded to the full version - glad I did! What an amazingly well thought-out design. I love this app and use it all the time - a perfect accompaniment for practicing my Tablas, and when I get together with Sitar players... the closest you'll ever come to a live Tanpura player ; )

Love the app

Very very useful app. Sometimes it sounds a little sharp but I love the app. Portability is a big big plus without having to lug the sruti box. Still have to learn some of the functionality but overall a great app.

Excellent app in my opinion!

Never really written a review for an app before thought this app was well worthy for it! One of the best apps I've ever purchased!! Hands down!!

Very useful and convenient

This app has saved me several times when I was asked to sing and didn't have a sruthi box. Before this app, i use to have hard time singing at my pitch during an adhoc request. Very useful, convenient and life saver for singers. I would highly recommend it. I have tried using other apps, but none as effective

Excellent

An excellent sounding tanpura. They seem to have thought of everything. Tuning can be changed both by cents and more traditional means. You basically get 2 tanpura, each with 2 strings, all can be set differently and played at the same time if desired. Ability for user presets (thank you!). L/R pan. Loops can be varied by minutes or not at all (continuous). I patch this out of my iPhone and into my Roland and then in to DAW. Works great. And oh -- you can find the master volume under the Harp ic

Just ok

Not wide for IPad. Can’t see that this does anything iTablaPro does. $5 with bundle but still feel cheated.

Great app

I am not an Indian musician, but I love using this app as a drone to practice. I use it for improvisational exercises.

Great

The sound quality is great compared to other tanpura apps.

Excellent App but Crashing for IOS 14

A very good app for everyday Riyaaz but it seems to be crashing with IOS 14. Is there going to be an update to fix the issue?

Long-time professional user of this app

I have been using this app for my concerts and practice for over a decade. Clean, quality sound; perfectly in tune at all shrutis; features for Carnatic music like the 6-matra strum pattern and the ability to turn off the 4th string; and many more features that makes this a no-brainer staple for a practicing musician or student. A relatively expensive app, but the developer has truly put care into it and made it a robust, high quality instrument that we forget the cost of over the years!

Magnificent

I’ve no experience with utilizing the tanpura to accompany me while chanting. In just minutes of experimentation with this app my vocalizing has been revolutionized. I am finding that various keys are appropriate, depending upon the shloka. I never realized this. I cannot thank you enough. By grace of Guru and Saraswati I found iTanpura. Koti koti pranams.
