This app has been such a pleasure to use from day one on Vision Pro. I also love that it’s a one time fee and not trying to tie you into a subscription payment. With this version 2.0 it’s so clear that so much passion has gone into this and it is such a joy to explore this ecosystem more through the eyes of creative developers like this.
Wow! The 2.0 update absolutely blew me away! I was so worried that there hadn’t been any updates in so long but this new update fixed all the issues I had left and I can’t believe he got 180 video plus metal upscaling working, that’s absolutely insane
Performance of 180 or 360 videos is quite choppy and low fps
Juno is such a great replacement for the native YouTube app. Oh wait there is no native YouTube app.!
So far I want my five dollars back. You can't even share a video from within the interface because it doesn't track your eye movements. At the end of videos when people go to the trouble of putting links of their other videos, you can't track your eyes there either. I have a different app that came with this Vision Pro even though they want $30 for lifetime. I'm starting to think it might be the better deal. They have a few eye tracking issues within their app, but not as many as this one seems
Moves the controls out of the frame to make interaction much easer. But doesn’t handle creator made playlists very well, and constantly stops playing falling back to a spinner that never stops spinning. Going back and restarting the video rarely restores the playback and never from where you where. Closing the app does nothing at all to reinitialize correct playback. Most of the time you have to force quit the application, and even then it only occasionally recovers. I could tolerate this bu
No theater mode
Seriously useful. Who would have thought a “history” button on the main page was a good idea?! Definitely worth $5. Thank you!
Love it so far
I hope more environments can be added or Theatre mode support.
Generally good, better than browser and good resolution support. Needs to fill missing options like thumbs, description, comments, etc
I can’t voice text in the app. It only lets me say one word at a time and I wish there was a back button.
This app does a pretty decent job playing YouTube videos. However, it has several glitches which make it annoying to use. Hopefully these will be fixed sometime soon. Trying to tap the ... menu doesn't work properly. Videos start playing without being selected.
This is the best app I’ve used on the Vision Pro for YouTube. My only complaint and what prevents me from rating it five stars is that I can’t add videos to my watch later playlist. when I click the three dots, it starts to play the video instead of showing the option to add it to the playlist.
Super weird - although it looks like I am signed into my Google account, no video watches, likes, etc show up when I go back to Chrome. Downside is that YouTube everywhere else suggests videos that I watch in the Vision Pro. I am signed in with the same account in all the places (Mobile, Laptop and AVP)
It’s great to have a native app to watch YouTube but it doesn’t sync my watch history. There’s no way to upvote either.
The biggest issue is that when you select a search result and display it, you cannot get back to the search results. So if you search for VR180 videos and watch one, you can’t get back to the search results without starting a whole new search. If the developer can fix this issue I would give it 5 stars
This app lacks a lot of features compared to just watching on safari, such as viewing comments, video description, and most important to me, the discovery feed on the side so I can browse other videos to hop to while watching one. I also experienced some pretty bad bugs, like my video feeds not refreshing, or one where opening a particular channel would simply not work.
Honestly, I really tried to like this app, but there are just too many things that are barely functioning or just straight up broken. If this was a free app, it would be one thing but it’s five dollars and for that price this thing is just not worth it at all. Save your money and just go to Safari.
Still very buggy
The three dots don’t work, which is insane. Can’t rewind or fast-forward. Can’t comment. Can’t save videos to watch later. Some videos will go fullscreen and others will be a typical YouTube type page. Come on guys… To pay extra for this, make it extra cool.
I don’t understand why everybody hyped this app up. It is missing basic features like the ability to save to playlists it has poor eye tracking so that the three dots are never accessible, which instead play the video and not expand options. No one talks about this. I have complained to the developer and I heard nothing back.at the update history, the app has not been updated since one month which is a very long time comparing this nature and state of the app. Lazy lazy lazy. I really don’t unde
The experience of using Juno at first was great, but over time the small issues added up like 1000 paper cuts. One of the key issues I ran into is that it does not work with YouTube’s watch history tracking. Any video I watched through Juno will continue to be recommended to me by YouTube as a result. That winds up creating a worse experience on other devices I use to watch YouTube, like my computer and Apple TV.
