Pretty much every time I click on a notification, the app just keeps loading and never actually opens

I love KMBC 9 news it’s my favorite live news to watch. The app on the other hand is not my favorite. Some of the stories stay the same for weeks or as other news channels change them more frequently. There are also so many ads that I often get frustrated and close the site.

I’m a long time viewer. So much that I’ve downloaded your app because I believe in your news. But can someone do something about the 2 or 3 ads that pop up. You are reading your article, an ad pops up and when going back to ghe article, it takes right back to the beginning. I understand you needing ads but stop taking me back to the beginning of the article. Please and thank you

First off - the app helps you configure what you’re needing right off the bat. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rooted around in app settings to figure out some of these things. Well done.

Being a person who values the truth in a twisted “Fake News world” KMBC/ABC always hits the mark with their reporting. * I am a fan of NPR & PBS, they have no agenda other than the truth. I find ABC / KMBC to be the same, a trusted, valued information outlet. Thanks

I had to turn off all notifications because any notification means watching a full ad before seeing the video the notification is about. I first just stopped clicking on the notifications because I knew that meant a full ad with no skip feature would be forced on me before seeing the video. Then, I realized why am I even allowing these notifications if I’m not going to click on the bait??? So, off they went. Ads are becoming a leading cause in attention deficit disorders.

You have the VERY BEST weather team and my home ALWAYS turn to you for the up to date weather and alerts! Thank you so much; especially during today’s tornado warnings and thunderstorms! Blessings to you and your staff.

App is up to date…according to App Store!

KMBC is simply the best station in KC. News, weather and sports are first class. Thanks KMBC.

If you want to quietly check news or sports , pick a different app. This one has loud ads with no way to silence the audio . It is the same with video news stories. Sorry KMBC your app is too intrusive. I will stick KSHB41

The app is pretty lousy and buggy. Annoying pop-up every time you launch it. Also, any video will first play a commercial.

Just within the last week or so (after an update?), I’ve been getting kicked out of the articles while reading them. It takes me right back to the top story, regardless of how many times I try to go back into the story. Super frustrating.

In the last month the app has begun kicking me back to the app Home Screen when I check the radar, click on an article to read, or basically anything that directs me away from the Home Screen. This is cumbersome and getting old. Please, oh please squash this bug!

I like channel 9 news but had to delete the app. Just can’t take the fact that they force play a video of the news story with full blown commercial first and no way to turn off. I get that they need to pay for this app somehow, but force playing video with no way to stop or turn off sound is so so annoying. Back to Fox 4 app for me where I can read the news in silence.

Good for storm alerts, but the app is very glitchy and hard to use at times.
