Knot IQ - The Bear Essentials App Reviews

Great overall, but the glitching is still not fixed

Updated: Great app and the developer is very responsive to customer feedback

For a few years I have been saving videos on YouTube or Instagram, but it is inefficient. This is much more handy and way worth the $5. Thanks!!!

It’s very helpful but it’s so fragile. It’s swipes left or right when I’m trying to go down or up sometimes. Multiple times it has frozen on me too. Had to force reset my phone multiple times

This is easily worth ten times what I paid for it. Support is next level. DJ literally emailed me multiple times as we worked through my very minor issue (not just “customer service” but Canadian Customer Service!). I recommend this to everyone all the time. I hope a few of you consider this as you are wasting time with other knot apps. Where can I send you a tip or what else can I purchase from you, DJ?! Thank you!

I knew of his work through YT previously. But found them on the App eventual & was 10/10 brilliance. Everything he said it would for what the APP delivered. The ultimate KNOT companion in the phone. 👍🏼👍🏼🌿

I would like to use but it freezes on me. - reaching out to the developer they produced a fix

He’s KNOT kidding! This app is a Rockstar when it comes to finding and learning the best knot for each specific application !!!! Well done and TOTALLY worth the small investment!!! THANKS!!!!!

I love this app. This is a valuable resource for anybody who uses ropes occasionally or everyday.

A must have tutorial for anyone looking to learn knot tying skills for a variety of different hobbies. The you tube videos are great as well.

Very useful and helpful 3D presentation of knot tying that’s easy to follow and understand. Love this awesome app.

the reset sometimes flops/mirrors the knot or can switch to left handed mode but that changes for the entire app. knots 3d allows instant mirroring/flopping which can help depending on how the knot you are tying is set up eta: thank you for your response! yes, your idea to add the local toggle for each knot but keep the global left handed setting is very flexible. looking forward to the update, thank you!

Pop p I’ll play P I’m I

Insanely good app works offline and is such a good way to learn knots highly recommend price is very worth it

Love the whole app!!

Well made. One lifetime purchase. Incredible videos.

Straight to the point, been trying to learn more knots and great to be able to refresh myself on the ones I always forget!

This is by far one of the best apps for Knots. I’m always looking for better ways to access knots that I can’t remember and this helps!

This is how apps should be. One time purchase, family sharable, offline, and doesn’t collect your data enriching yet another billionaire. This will come in super handy when my memory fails on some of the more niche and obscure knots.

I’ve used them all. This is the one I keep.

Great app with lots of info. A must have!

I would highly recommend this app for anyone wanting to learn knot tying. The animated tutorials are easy to follow, and the additional information for the uses, pros, and cons of each knot are very helpful. This is a must have app for those getting into rope access or rope rescue work.

Very good collection of knots, and like the animation. Wish the text was a bit bigger, or controllable, especially in menus where there’s lots of wasted “margin” space. Use the whole screen please.

In 2020 we bought a hobby farm (an echo from my childhood). Suddenly needed lots of knots. Tried several apps, this is the best. Graphic demonstrations are spectacular. Play them slow to learn, or fast for a simple reminder. 3D is available, but I generally haven't needed it. Use-cases, explanations, etc. are thorough. And connects seamlessly to blog articles for more in-depth discussion. I bought the premium version, got more than my money's worth.

Whether you’re a new theatre stagehand or someone that just wants to learn new knots, this app has been very helpful and easy to navigate. All the knots you need in one app.

Great app works flawlessly. Have not used offline yet. Keep the updates coming.

My grandson is in scouting and I want him to get his badge. This way he can learn these knotts
