Knots 3D App Reviews

The graphics/animations are nice and clear, can slow down animated instructions if needed. I’d much rather actually purchase a useful, fully functional app for five bucks than download a free one that doesn’t do much but nickel and dime you to death. Works offline. Just a heads up, it does not come with any rope, you have to supply that yourself.

I’ve been tying my knots the same way for years and using the same ones. This app has shown me new knots and easier ways to tie the ones I’m used to. Love it.

This is a must have guide to knots! My experience is with fishing, boating, camping and hauling all have improved using the correct knot/knots.

Love this app and it’s a great tool for learning and it’s my adult fidget spinner or should I say tying knots is A few of the knots have too small of an illustration To make it better I wish we could give feedback on each knot and also suggest new knots . Also wish it wouldn’t have redundant knots like the arbor knot and the Canadian jam knot

Love it it’s perfect

I’ve been having a hard time learning to tie knots from books and YouTube videos. On the first example of how to tie a particular knot I viewed I immediately understood by how to tie the knot.

It beats drawings hands down. The ability to stop the video and then drag your finger back and forth is great! Well worth the money.

There may be other ‘better’ knot tying apps and books but I found Knots 3D by far the most fun

The only problem is since the rope in the animations is building itself it doesn’t show how much you’ll need for the knot. But besides that it really helpful!

Having been in Scouts as a youngster, then in the NAVY aboard ships for 7 years, then a commercial fisherman for 17 years, I’ve learned many a useful knot. This well animated app is a superior, easy to use and understand visual tutor on the skills of creating and applying hitches, etc. Tying a knot can be learned easily, however It’s the proper and safe way of using said knots that is most important. 3D Knots explains it all ! The app is good to learn new knots but still missing some, like the bull hitch and others. There are good videos in youtube about knots too, but thy are in Chinese

Love this app. Great for military, climbing, firefighting, and, general use.

I had this app on my phone for a few years and never used it. I started to get serious about outdoor activities and that meant I needed to learn to tie real knots. I started with YouTube videos to learn the main knots but found that unless I practiced every day I forgot them. I don't have to watch a long and wordy video to remind myself because of this great app. And since my phone is always with me a reminder is never far. Great job, and my thanks to all the developers and designers!
