I’ve been having a hard time learning to tie knots from books and YouTube videos. On the first example of how to tie a particular knot I viewed I immediately understood by how to tie the knot.

Best utility app that I’ve ever purchased…helpful in all aspect of life…

The 3D models are very helpful to learn the full process of the knots

It beats drawings hands down. The ability to stop the video and then drag your finger back and forth is great! Well worth the money.

There may be other ‘better’ knot tying apps and books but I found Knots 3D by far the most fun

Inexhaustible! well done! The brief history of the many knots, are a nice touch and refreshingly welcomed. So wonderful and convenient, to have it all so easily available, in one app! Bravo!

The only problem is since the rope in the animations is building itself it doesn’t show how much you’ll need for the knot. But besides that it really helpful!

Having been in Scouts as a youngster, then in the NAVY aboard ships for 7 years, then a commercial fisherman for 17 years, I’ve learned many a useful knot. This well animated app is a superior, easy to use and understand visual tutor on the skills of creating and applying hitches, etc. Tying a knot can be learned easily, however It’s the proper and safe way of using said knots that is most important. 3D Knots explains it all ! Construction Electrician by trade, boater,camper and outdoors man. This app is simple and easy to use, understand and teach. If you love knots or want to learn it’s worth the $6.00. Do it.!!👍🇺🇸

The app is good to learn new knots but still missing some, like the bull hitch and others. There are good videos in youtube about knots too, but thy are in Chinese

This application is a step by step guide to knots that everyone will at some point find very useful. I highly recommend this app for everyone.

Love this app. Great for military, climbing, firefighting, and, general use.

I had this app on my phone for a few years and never used it. I started to get serious about outdoor activities and that meant I needed to learn to tie real knots. I started with YouTube videos to learn the main knots but found that unless I practiced every day I forgot them. I don't have to watch a long and wordy video to remind myself because of this great app. And since my phone is always with me a reminder is never far. Great job, and my thanks to all the developers and designers!

The practical part of this app cannot be denied. Whether sailing, camping, backpacking or tying things at home; this app delivers. And each update further justifies the already low price. Probably the best utility app one could have for “real life”

I love the “Favorites” feature. I can make quick reference of Knots that are useful to me, when I need a fast review.

I boat, hike, and work. This app is handy to have when working around the house, out on the water, or cleaning up a mess. If you need a safe knot this is a great app.

Great app for utilitarian use. It’s a must, a passage to manhood/womanhood learning proper knots. I’ve used this app for years and remain quite content. I pass it on to others. Awesome!

as an owner of Ashley’s Book of Knots, I appreciate the cross references, advice, usage information, and history. the animation is clear with adjustable tying (essential!). views can be rotated and flipped. well organized.

Exactly what I wanted and needed. Shows you how to tie dozens of categorized knots in any speed and from any angle.

This knot app actually works, is full of information, helpful, regularly updated and the easiest way to learn new knots I have found. By far the only knot app to use. Worth any price.

I have hade this app for about two years and iv used it more times then I can count.

Excellent animation for tying with information about each knot and comparison of strength/structure between similar knots used in similar applications.

I have used this App for years and it is much easier to learn new knots than using any book.The ability to see and change views and speed of the line really helps.

Helpful except for the irritating demand to rate it which won’t let me continue. Now it won’t let me choose favorites even though I did rate it. I paid for it and now it’s causing problems. Reduce by one star

A lot of thought went into this app. A very clear and detailed animation is presented so one can perfect any knot with ease.

This was a great app when it first came out and it continues to be a life saver for me.

I’ve been tying my knots the same way for years and using the same ones. This app has shown me new knots and easier ways to tie the ones I’m used to. Love it.

My Uncle showed me this app and I have been tie’n knots since. The Edwards Bowline knot is my favorite.
