KORG iM1 App Reviews

I’m a huge advocate for Korg Synthesizers and support Korg’s innovative efforts in reproducing such iconic gear. All of the Korg Synths are great, and they all have very specific temperments, Korg has even captured that beautiful nuance perfectly with the M1, Odyssey, and Wavestation. I literally bought an iPad just so i could use the M1 app while producing mobile music because it was one of the few apps that wasn't allowed to work on iPhones, and now it's actually available on iPhones! THANK YOU KORG (rip to my bank account tho haha might have to sell the iPad hahah)

Just recently purchased it and was making comparisons with the VST and noticed that the link edit feature was not in here. For those that don’t know when enabling this feature it allows you to edit parameters from both oscillators at the same time so if you were to edit the attack on one it would edit the other at the same rate. It allows for seamless edits on the spot. I figured it would be a 1:1 recreation of the VST but I was proven wrong. Would love if in a future update they include this f

Magnificent reproduction of one of the most influential Instruments created since the acoustic piano. Easy to get lost in all the amazing sounds and sonic capabilities the iM1 offers. Can’t recommend this high enough!

The CHORDS,KEYS & KAO PAD are not in the Auv3.

iM1 is one of the best AUV3 plugins available. It’s super easy on the system resources and having multiple instances in your project is a breeze. I love it except sometimes its square size makes it hard to fit in spaces on a rectangular screen. I work around that though and won’t rate it less. One important change should me made. Please add double tap to reset values to zero on knobs and sliders. Currently your apps have no way to do this and it becomes time consuming to reset values. Thank you!

After a while of using it as an Audio Unit extension on GarageBand it suddenly becomes unavailable, doesn’t load or GarageBand can’t seem to find it. Although the app works by itself, it’s very frustrating since it can’t load on my GarageBand projects. The only solution is to delete GarageBand and reinstall it but it’s obviously not convenient.

Fix this bug please

I've been using the app for about a month now, and the iM1 card which says best collection is not accessible.

This brings back classic sound from 90s dance music.

App would be much more useful if it was available as an auv3.

As the title says. When I was a younger person back when the M1 first came out, all of my favorite RnB groups and producers were using the M1. The sound was incredible. But I couldn’t afford it. Now those same beautiful sounds are still great, but infinitely more affordable. The only issue I have, and this isn’t Korg’s fault, is that Logic Pro for iPad came out and it doesn’t work with this product. I’m hoping the dev retools this app to be AUv3 compatible.

I can’t imagine why a company with these resources would not make they’re awesome legacy keyboards play nice with the rest of iOS. But I realize that would minimize Gadget 2.0’s ‘play nice’ monopoly. C’mon guys. Get on the right side of history! Edit Oct 23’: With Logic Pro now available on the iPad, auV3 is more necessary than ever. Pleeeze?

I saved all of my money to get a Kong M1 back in the day. I also purchased a Frontal Lobe expander with expansion cards. When that died I got a M1r. Now that has died and along comes this app to save my world! I use this on the road with our band. A controller and my iPad. Glorious. Kudos. Thank you Korg!

Muy buenos sonidos clásicos y modernos ,trabaja muy bien con mi iPad air 2013 ,Se los recomiendo tanto como para aprendices y profesionales en el ámbito musical. Gracias KORG por crear esta app y espero que por igual saquen al mercado un instrumento virtual de otro clásico de la música mexicana y de muchos países más ,me refiero al KORG N364, Les apuesto que sera un éxito mundial; (lo esperaremos) 👊🏻😎

this is one really sweet app it’s got tons of great voices that are massively impressive and you can even edit those voices with a bunch of visual tools which are really great so I’m super impressed especially with a price and only 25 bucks

You will not be able to use this app with Logic Pro or Beat Maker 3. I’m new to iPad and didnt know this before buying. Other than that, the app is great
