I waited for a while to write this, just to see if I could get used to the new feed, but I really hate the latest update. I really don’t care about the community, especially because there’s not an algorithm of any kind to have the community posts at least be things I’m interested in. Even then, I want to see my friends posts, not have them hidden at the top in some non-user friendly release. I miss seeing my friends posts. the complete point of lapse in the first place. Every update y’all did after dec 2023 was unnecessary and ruined the entire experience. Lapse was once the literal perfect app. Everything we needed and more. It was intimate, captivating and meaningful. We had the had the opportunity to really individualize our pages with music for each month- and the ability to share out thoughts and feelings. Now it’s trash. And I want the old lapse back I don’t even use it as much bc it doesn’t make sense..

I love this app I think it’s so fun and I really enjoy it but recently they changed the format so you’re not able to switch from seeing your friends post and the community. I do not like looking or seeing the community post and I also do not like that you can comment on them. It makes the app seem like social media, and I think the main point is it is not supposed to be like social media. I think they need to make an update where there is a setting to turn on community posts or hide them. But ov

I love this app!! I don’t even use my regular camera really 🤣🤣🤣 it would be so cool to be able to do videos someday! Or even boomerangs to keep it simple ! I also do not like the new feed update :( mine automatically updated and I’m wishing I can go back! I’d much rather see my friends in my feed than random ppl:( hopefully they decide to go back! Still use the app as my #1 camera to document everything tho hehe

I’m obsessed with this app, my friends and I use it every day and it’s so awesome! My only complaint is that I wish it was available on android since some friends can’t get the app and take pics but besides that it’s awesome!

BRING BACK MUSIC

The fact that the pictures are edited for you.. is awesome! Editing is a lot of hard work. And then to keep all your photos in a journal.. how can you not love it! Once the music comes back, it’ll be perfect!

Most annoying on boarding process ever. It forces you to share the app with other people. The onboarding process is too long and unnecessary.

you do have to have friends to set it up which was kind of annoying as someone who has only a few friends. love the concept, but when you save pictures from the app it messes with the crop of the picture and id rather have the original crop than the tall skinny crop.

I think not being able to see the photo right away adds a realness that we lack in social media now

I loved Lapse when I first downloaded - the filters + the social network aspect made it so fun. Since they updated the feed to prioritize randos’ photos (which I don’t care about seeing) and shoved all friends’ photos into a story-like format at the top, the app has become a pain to use. My priority is seeing my friend’s photos and unfortunately their new UI is completely counterintuitive to that. I have no interest in seeing the photos of people I don’t know, and now that’s the only thing they

I’ve been obsessed with this app for a year now but it’s starting to lose me. First they lost their ability to provide music and now the monthly highlights don’t even show all the photos you took when viewing your page. It’s not the same vibe when someone has to click on the highlight to see all your pictures. It’s bad enough we don’t have music anymore but can this please be fixed??? I just want all my photos to show up in my monthly highlights. Even when I try to customize it, it still doesn’t

I have half of a month of pictures missing 😭 and some Pictures that were once highlights so I KNOW they are in lapse that are no where to be found. And some pictures never show up after developing. it was great until the update. now i have to add the lock screen widget but the widget doesn't even exist on my phone. why do you even need a widget anyway??? before, i had taken plenty of photos without the widget. now i can't even use the camera.

This app seems cool, but you have to jump through a million hoops before you can start taking photos. First, you have to create an account with your phone number, then you have to add 6 friends that already have the app, then you have to add their widget to your lock screen. These steps shouldn’t be required JUST to take photos. The overuse of slang and design associated with Gen Z makes it seem like they’re trying too hard and gives me the ick.
