The new update took the joy out of using this app. This is so disappointing.

Performance issues definitely improved after the last update but now none of my reviews post after I submit them. I also continue to have issues scrolling through my favorites list without crashing the app.

LibriVox has an inexhaustible selection of old time radio from around the world. I am constantly finding new episodes I want to hear. I will never be able to listen to all of them. I really enjoy the wide open feel- so much to choose from.

It is so nice! But some readers are hard to understand. Now offense… (I really hope.)😄😁😍

Love this app!

I enjoy this book very much and listen to it repeatedly. Each of the readers lend a slightly different nuance to the story which I find to enhance the characters.

I never realized that public domain works could be so fantastic until the generous readers of LibriVox brought them to life.

The app used to be wonderful, but it no longer keeps accurate track of where you are in a book. We go back to listen the next day and it has skipped ahead. Sometimes it is several chapters. I find that unacceptable. Also, books will disappear from playlists I make for my kids. Very frustrating app.

I love this app. You can listen to a huge selection of books by very good volunteer readers who love the books. It is a lot of fun and educational. It is very enriching.

Different recordings have different quality of course but the app itself is very well done

I love listening to these books but I’m more of a visual reader. I think it would be better if you could (for free) read along and it highlights the word they’re on

I put my earbuds in while I work and listen to all kinds of fascinating dramas. The old Time radio dramas are my favorite. I love history and I feel like I’m stepping back in Time. I especially love hearing the old time ads. Those are adds that I’m actually not disgusted with. If you all can make the suspicion show complete, I’d really appreciate it. Great job. Great app.

I’ve been using the app and I think it’s great so far it’s basically just audiobooks there’s not pictures it doesn’t even show the words you just listen but I think it’s great it’s basically just audiobooks except it’s free so if we do go on a road trip or something and we want an audiobook this is better cause it’s free but I don’t like about it how you can’t change the voice but amazing 5 stars I just wish we could change the voice amazing app 10/10 recommend!

It’s great it has all the good old authors!

I’m enjoying reading Dickens and other 9th century authors. Some of the single readers are excellent. I’m not enjoying the volunteers as much because their reading is sometimes excellent and sometimes not and I find the transitions between readers more difficult to deal with than the ads. Especially when it shifts from a good reader to one not so good.

I LOVE this app, but having an option to triple speed (like Spotify does) would triple my usage of this app over others

Librovox is a great way to unwind at night and the time option is perfect when listening before bed.

They were having a bug, so I tried all the other LibriVox apps, and this is by far the best. Best selection, best user interface. The bug’s fixed now, so don’t waste your time on anything else.

If you are wanting to get a comic you’re looking for a needle in a haystack with this app look at another app. but if you were interested in Newberry award books, you have come to the right place. My mother loves this app and all these books are available for free.

I love audiobooks and was so happy to find this app but the features, like sleep timer, often don’t work. And as far as I can tell it’s somewhat challenging to search for a book unless you know the title, author, and possibly the reader. I found it very difficult to search for books and most often did not find many writers who weren’t white or dead. I ended up finding a good reader and am listening to her. She is amazing but only reads Dickens. I know that there are many good books out there

I listen to LibriVox practically every night for over a year now. I absolutely appreciate all the hard work that goes into it. Thank you.

This is cool for school

I find the app is a bit temperamental in that it doesn’t always keep playing when I go to another app or if my Maps says something

If it were possible to have a love affair with an app, this would be the one. A veritable cornucopia of great works old and new. Invaluable resource for students old-young, for nearly every great work created before 1900, as well as a respectable number of 20th century works, is available for free. Volunteers have donated endless hours to create these audiobooks, many of them 100% free (thousands of more available for sale at excellent prices). If you've not tried Librivox, maybe it's time.👍👍

This is one of my favorite applications if not my favorite. It has enabled me to gain access and enjoy many pieces of literature that I wouldn’t have been able to without this application. It has filled many daily and often mundane tasks with inspiring words.

Easy down load. Will have to look for more educational items concerning hypnosis.

I am on chapter 64 of life, when I was on chapter 10 I would listen to mysteries on my clock radio…my bed was on the top bunk so my father built me a shelf where I could place my radio so I could listen every Sunday night to mysteries…Daddy passed away on September 21 2019 (I was my daddy’s darling) I miss him so very much…listening to all the mysteries sends me back….thank you guys from the bottom of my heart…keep up the good work

LibriVox is phenomenal, and the readers do well. This review is specifically for the app. After entering a story, the app glitches and moves all content far to one side, so you cannot go back and look at chapter names, lengths, etc. without closing and re-opening. As of recently, the app stops playing when screen is off or app is moved to background. The vocal ads are deeply grating. The app just does not function well, to the point where it seriously disrupts the books themselves.
