Absolute must for outdoorsmen for both safety and planning reasons!

I've tried multiple janky sites and apps with far too many ads before I found this app. We use it to determine lightning distance from our local outdoor pool. My only suggestion is to make the distance circles either moveable via dragging, or transparent so I can see the strikes behind the (5) and (20) mile markers.

This is a must have app if your kids play sports or you own a pool.

This app is very helpful in pinpointing dangerous lightening hot spots even when there is no rain. It is important to know if there is lightning close by while doing yard work. I have been utilizing Lightning Alert for several years now.

Absolutely love this app, and won’t go fishing without it. One suggestion would be an option to add additional rings to increase the alarm radius from 20 miles to 40, 60, 80, 100 miles. There are many times on larger lakes in my small boat that I would much prefer to know much sooner that inbound lightning is coming. Please add this option to be alarmed sooner if so desired.

So this app is nice, but I was trying to use it as a means to know when it is safe for things like sports and for physical education classes. The app would improve if there was a way to adjust the alert rings. Alerting with a 30 mile that lightning is in your area. At 20 miles you are under a lightning watch. Finally at 10 miles you are under a lightning warning would be helpful for this application. Not a bad app for casual usage but could be improved for a more broad application.

The app does what it says it will do. I wouldn’t expect more.

I ve had this app for a long time and it works great. I use it during work hours in case I need to call a 30/30 shut down. Being in the US, I use the imperial system. When I’m in the app, everything shows up as miles. But as of a number of months back, my alerts have switched to metric and I have no idea how to get it back to miles. I’ve deleted the app several times and reinstalled it and that doesn’t seem to work. I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for that.

Important for swimmers’ safety.

As a crane operator I need to know when there is lightning getting close and this app is really convenient. Thank you to whoever came up with it.

The app is awesome

As a grandmother of 3 and a in-ground pool owner I have had this app for over 4 years and it has never let me down. I now have my grandkids saying when it gets a bit cloudy… check the swim check (their name for it). Has made a pool owner a more pleasant experience.

Hey fix it backup please

A really good system that you can adjust to warn you when lightning is at whichever distance you prefer. It’s nice to set it for a longer distance, radius, so you can decide if the storm is heading toward you or away or Across etc.

I work outside in a field surrounded my wire fence This app helps me get out of the danger when a thunder and lightning approaches. I totally relay on it . Thank you for this protection

As a teen im scared of lightning storms but with this app im fine

Wont open 4 out of 5 times. When it works it’s great.
