I’m using this app to practice my connections for my transformer class and it’s really really great well worth the 10$ but when I wire up a bank correctly it will tell me it’s wrong it only does this with the delta delta or the wye wye I will match them up perfectly with the image but still say it’s wrong I’ve even asked my teacher if they are wired correctly and he said yes. Once that gets fixed this app will be 5/5

How do you connect the h2 to the neutral everytime I tie them in I can get them to turn white but they come in upside down. How do I make them look like the picture ? I’m sure there is a way to do it but I’ve been messing with this app a few days and have yet to figure it out

Some of the answers in the advance quiz need to be fixed for the transformer selection question parts of the test. Selecting the correct transformer subtracts two points while selecting the improper voltage per nameplate is shown as correct. Please fix this as it could be confusing to anyone trying to learn.

What I did not like is you can’t get a zero read on like phases it gives a 240 read when it is really a zero read this was wye delta bank straight 240

When making a delta secondary hookup, when you attach the case grounds, the fuse blows and says it’s wrong. Not sure if it’s a bug or I’m im doing something wrong

Great app. Highly recommend for any apprentices or journeymen looking to brush up on their banking skills. Would love to see paralleling 3 phase banks in the future. I’ve had the app for a while and have noticed new features come up, like single phase paralleling and troubleshooting.

Great app for guys to start understanding banks! Only issue is when paralleling cans. Rather than running the x3 and x1 to the same phase it wants you to run to opposite phases. That isn’t parallel, that’s a 240 secondary flash.

Cool app, but the voltmeter doesn’t work! It will not let you drop the leads to the voltmeter on the bottom two phases… this prevents you from doing the tests because in the test it tells you to check secondary voltage with the meter… Also needs more labs! It’d be great if there were just more labs with different scenarios, or a feature like “customer needs 480 3 phase power for x load, pick the right transformer and hook up” type situations.

Definitely some issues. I’ll wire up a bank correctly and it’ll tell me it’s wrong. I can delete my secondary’s and reconnect them exactly the same way and close the fuses again and it’ll say it’s right. Also, I’ll wire up a wye delta (for example) and it’ll say “this is a correct way to wire a delta delta bank” when obviously it should say wye delta. Lastly the app needs to be run with a horizontal screen but you can’t put the volt meter on the c phase secondary leads because of the layout. Sti

I have no complaints about this app.. it has definitely helped me learn about constructing banks and it has put me buses ahead of other apprentices in my area. **One thing I do wish to see in the app is the Delta & Wye vector charts for both primary and secondary.** this would help greatly when learning how to build banks.

Not to bad of an app. Wish you could pick what you want on the secondary side and primary side. Voltages, etc..

Been a lineman for a few years and have always struggled understanding banks but this has made it easy and fun to memorize everything about bank building! Be your brothers keeper and share this app with them

Why does in make you tie in your high side h2 to ground. I had to reference back to my book to make sure I was right. Wye wye you tie wye delta you float

I like the way this app is setup. Is there a way, maybe I’m not seeing it, to create a 277/480 and a straight 480 bank. To be able to get into the secondary windings and parallel them together manually?

Any chance there is an update to add single bushing pots for the banks my co op uses them and this would be a great tool?

Would like to see more in depth internals.. Ability to cut over the pots ac/bd.. And 240/480/277 and 277/480 Other than that have recommended to all of my apprenticeship guys. I love it. Done 40 labs the first day I had it.

I’m an apprentice lineman an this helped understand so much however, I would love to see the “advanced tx” you mention in above comment especially the additive an subtractive portion. Great app an very very helpful for myself.

This app is awesome to play around with to learn and review your transformers and how they are built. I’ve recommended it to several people and will continue to recommend it to new apprentices!

Works great! Good learning tool for apprentices and refresher for lineman.
