Lyd - Watch Remote for Sonos App Reviews

Excellent app for controlling our Sonos system, has never failed in working as expected. Highly convenient to control the TV audio when the remote has gone awol or phone is being charged or in another room. Keep up the great work!

June 24-present After 10 months living with LYD. I found this app when SONOS broke theirs. I waited years for this app. I’ve used SONOS since its infancy and this is the app they should have released years back. I have an Ultra and the bigger screen helps but a 8 works fine I’d personally recommend a 41mm or larger. The app is refined and the developer keeps adding more features. Great job.

Never leave reviews for any app because never really any of them seated or expectations. This one is a great app it was challenging download for a little bit for me personally because I don’t download apps to my Apple Watch but it was amazing it works as expected easy use

puts Sonos and Spotify apps to shame

This should be out of the box with the Sonos app, but it’s not and they probably wouldn’t do it this well anyways. Absolutely love being able to control the Sonos when I don’t have my phone (honestly, 95% of the time, it’s when I’m in the shower.)

Love this app. I use it to control my music from the pool. Works great, reliable and simple. The only thing that would be better would be finding a way to show the currently playing music as a live activity on iPhone lock screen and in Dynamic Island!

What wonderful technology this is, and it works EXACTLY as advertised, and SO simple to use!! The team behind this technology have done a wonderful job of developing something so intuitive and free of complications - it’s so simple with a great interface!

Love running two different houses from my Apple Ultra 2. Been working great for a year! Suddenly though the LYD complication has disappeared from my watch face and I can’t get it back. Any tricks?

I’ve used this app for the watch for about 2 years now. Well worth the purchase price. Very intuitive controls and rarely has any problems. You can change music, volume, groups, everything you could want. I really wish the Sonos app itself was this good! I have had to re log in once or twice but Id bet that’s a Sonos issue.

I love this app. It’s a must own if you have a Sonos system in your house. Controlling my music without being tied to my phone is a great luxury. Also, I may use the feature allowing me to send voice notes to individual rooms more than any other part of the app—it’s great.

I had no problems, installing the app on my phone and watch. But initially I had problems controlling the volume. The developer emailed me on how to control it by I simply turning the knob on my watch. Now it works great.

I had a problem where Lyd was not properly controlling grouped rooms correctly - volume was only changing in source room. The developer patiently helped me but could not reproduce my results. I finally fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling Sonos controller on all my devices and now it’s fine. Good product, very handy and convenient. Great developer.

I came across this app on an Apple Ultra Users site. I had always wanted to be able to control my Sonos through my watch. Simple installation. Within 5 min it was up and running. Gives me all the control I want from my watch. We'll designed and even easier to install. You must be running a later model phone and watch but that is common. No lag time noticed in switching between rooms. Best money I've spent on an application. The other plus v is it is compatible with Sonos 1 or 2.

Love my Sonos and listen constantly. Always wanted to be able to quickly see who was singing. And to control volume. This app gets it done!!

I’m not sure how this is possible since I assume they use the same api’s, but somehow this Apple Watch app is way more responsive than the official Sonos app on my iPhone 15, and I was even able to start my Sonos playing when I was away from home (which I did by accident; normally I wouldn’t even try because thought I had to be on WiFi, but it worked!) Super well done app

Finally, a reliable way to control my Sonos system from my watch! Now I can skip tracks when I’m in the shower. No idea why Sonos doesn’t provide this functionality, but I’m glad Lyd does!

Like being able to see song info and use controls to skip to next song. Biggest issue I had was app on watch quickly switched back to watch face. Wrote to app developer and he provided me this nice solution 1. Open the settings app on your Apple Watch 2. Return to Clock 3. Then either set to “After one hour” or scroll down to Lyd and change it only for Lyd to “After one hour”

This is a must have for anyone who uses Sonos speakers daily like me. It is truly faster to play, pause, skip music on the watch than on my phone.

This app is essential to any Sonos system. The Sonos ecosystem is severely lacking and seems to deteriorate with every passing year. I probably would’ve dumped Sonos long ago without this app. Indie developers like this aren’t given nearly enough credit. They’re saving Sonos from itself.

I absolutely love this app for the iWatch! Sonos doesn't offer an iWatch app. It also works much better than the Sonos iPhone app. Worth the one-time cost!!

As i was hoping app works great on apple watch Ultra. Wish it had more features but this is perfect. I can control all my indoor and outdoor sonos equipment without carrying my phone. Wish there was a better playlist selection or way to choose stations Still for what it does its a great app. It also integrates controls on your clock Face (complications).

This is the first app I have ever paid for in my life and I’m very happy I did. I had family coming over in 15 mins and discovered I couldn’t work my Sonos from my new Apple Watch. I downloaded this app and had everything working from my watch within 5 mins. Everyone was impressed that I was controlling the tunes from my wrist. It’s so easy and intuitive.

Control your Sonos system with your Apple Watch. Can be a little uncooperative if the iPhone is not nearby, but this is a minor gripe. Grateful to this developer for implementing a glaring feature omission in the Sonos ecosystem.

I love this app. It has given me a way to control my Sonos from my wrist. But I really wish the complication showed what song is currently playing. So I could just glance at my wrist and see. That would make it 5 stars.

This app is AMAZING. Works perfectly on my Apple Watch with no set up. I can control all 6 Sonos speakers from my wrist. LOVE IT SO MUCH! I would pay $20 for this! You won't be sorry.

Great app to control your Sonos speakers from your watch. TIP: if you are setting up a new watch and Lyd doesn’t show up, restart the watch and it should show up now.

Get this if you have an Apple Watch 5 and latest.

Rarely do third party controllers work and even then watch apps are even more iffy. But this app bucks both those trends delivering an elegantly designed and reliable experience controlling my home sonos system right from my wrist! Kudos to the team who built and continues to maintain this app. Well worth the low cost of entry. 5 stars.

App doesn’t work with Sonos playbase. No volume control. Only sound on or off.

I loaded the app on my watch. Started listening to my music. I was able to pause/play and change volume successfully with the app. Then it stopped. No more response to pause/play or changing volume via the crown. I rebooted the watch. It correctly finds my rooms. But when i select the room that is playing music, the controls no longer work. And there is a little icon of 6 dots in the lower left hand corner rotating continually like it is searching for something
