Lovely, fun, but damnit that space invader game!

I LOVED this game, right up until you veered away from logic and experimentation to solve the puzzles and inexplicably threw in a timed dexterity one (space invaders), which a lot of people simply cannot do. I might eventually get it, but after a few DOZEN attempts I’m so frustrated and angry with a game I was absolutely loving up to that point that I’ll more than likely never finish it. What feels like a lazy, incongruous minigame decision killed the fun for me and ruined a beautiful game for a

It’s a Shame

It’s unfortunate that the user rating doesn’t reflect what an enchanting work of art this game is. It’s understandable that some people would be frustrated playing this on a small screen, especially a phone. It was originally designed for desktops. I played it in 1998 on a Mac and I’ve always considered it to be one of the finest games I’ve ever played. My advice is to play this on the largest screen available to you. Not only will the controls be easier to use but the fantastic artwork deser

Pleaseee

Please do the second part 🙏🙏🙏

Amazing, charming game

I loved every second of this game. The hints make it more than simple enough to work out areas where you get stuck which is amazing. The art style is incredible and the music fits the game perfectly. Absolutely worth your time to play!!!

It’s ok

I liked the animation, but the game was more annoying than fun. Levels are too complicated, and sometimes I can’t even see the items I’m supposed to find because they blend into the background. You literally have to click every corner.

Charming, smart, with beautiful art

I found this game after playing Creaks, which I absolutely loved. This one is just as delightful, with another beautiful, immersive, hand-drawn world. The puzzles and characters and gentle gameplay are top notch, but it is the gorgeous illustrations that hooked me. Just like stepping in to a favorite picture book. I wish there were more games like this—straightforward, challenging, gentle, cute, with surprises and fun games-within-the-game. Every side character has enough personality that they

Cool but frustrating

Beautiful game, music, but it lost its fun after so many hours already, I don’t think I’ll finish it.

Peak

This game is peak I’ve played it on pc and now just bought it here the ratings should be 5/5 stars but they aren’t so I had to write this

Make a second one

I love this game so much!! I have played it so many times! The artwork in this is amazing and the feel this games! And the world that you guys built is awesome!! I don’t know if there is enough demand for it? But I would love a second Machinarium!!

fire

very good childhood game soundtrack is the best

Not optimized for mobile

They took the game straight from pc to mobile without putting any extra effort to make the game easier to play. Even though I have a pro max its hard to see and control. I kept clicking on the wrong place and character already takes years to move. Thats game design but hurts when you do the same thing twenty times.

I love this

It was part of my childhood

Engaging, immersive, tedious

While the music and graphics were entertaining, the storyline complimented the play. However, playing on a Iphone had many drawbacks. Mainly my finger was larger than areas with up to three choices. The graphics just don't fit this platform. I later downloaded to the iPad making things easier. Manu objects were so obscure to the use it was tedious. I found myself only staying motivated by watching the action playthrough on utube. Without it, I would have abandoned the game. Puzzles were

It does not support any controller

It would be better if it supported the backbone one controller pls add the backbone one controller. But the game is super good the graphics are amazing our commend this game and worth the money

ok, but if i want to play space invaders

i'd invite 1983 over and still be bored senseless. with no story to invest in, not worth finishing.

Full Screen Support on iPhone pro Max

The game doesn't look good on an iPhone pro Max, could you make it look like Samorost 3? (Full screen with good resolution)

Simply Amazing Game!!

I have had this game for years but it wasn’t till my 11 year old said lets do it together that we started it. I wish they would make more games like this!!!

太爱这款游戏了!!!!!!!

Just one problem

The only issue i have with this game is the the fact that there is only 1 of them. after i completed the story i waited for a second one because it was jsut an amazing play through the entire time. for the unique design to the beautiful music in every scene, this game was the best game i’ve ever bought, but the only issue is that it was over to soon. the story was amazing, each puzzle was fun to play and different then the last, the music was pure harmony. i just wish there was another one.

Nice game

This game is kinda hard. I couldn’t get past the part with the arcade because the games were too tricky. Otherwise it is a great game. Don’t worry I know how it ends. I watched a play through On YouTube because I wanted to see what happens

Amazing game!!!

A challenging yet fun experience for all ages. Love the art style and the music!

Game so so amazing but too short!!!!!

Please make this game longer, this game is very dear to me since I've played this many many times in my childhood. I really really would like for u guys to work on this game a bit more to make it longer.

I love this game

It’s a very interesting puzzle with a story. It does make you think and he very attentive and observ the little details. It does provide Hits for those times when you get stuck, but without spoiling the game. Music and special effects and ambient sounds are superb, specially on my 12.9” iPad Pro M2. I also play it in the AppleTV and iPhone.

The absolute standard of all other puzzle games

Why are there no other games as good as this one! It’s the best. It has an amazing look and feel. You are completely drawn in to this world and it’s a joy to experience. The “puzzles” aren’t just random things to solve, they add purpose and logic to the story. It was so much fun to engage. Like a really good book. I’m just sad I’m through it again for the 3rd time.

Haters will say it’s too difficult.

If you are looking for a puzzle game that doesn’t feel linear and gives you strange and unexpected challenges along the way then this will be money well spent for you. I personally love that the hint system is kept under lock and key because a good game should challenge you to figure things out rather than resign at the first sign of difficulty. Also the music, aesthetics and quirkiness add an additional level of immersion that tips the scale to 5 stars for me.

Loved it!

This game was hard but I loved almost everything about it. The music and the graphics. Love the story.

🥺

Pleeaaaseeeeeeee

I LOVE it!

So me and my friend completed the game together and before i found out I got totally stuck and lost all hope of completing it but when I found out that my friend had it my hope was restored and with a little bit of help me and my friend completed it😊. ps I look forward to completing another amanita game😊

Too hard

It way too hard for me and I’m just 8 years old

Best game on iOS

Worth the money. Hard, but fun.

3 Negative User Reviews for Machinarium

Why so hard

Art is absolutely wonderful but the puzzle answers made no sense. Controls are janky as heck. Looks blurry on my large iPad screen. Had a tutorial basically walk me through the entire thing

Extremely frustrating

I loved Botanicula but I hate this one. Often the controls just plain don’t work and I have to try the same thing over and over again wondering if I’ve missed something. There is also a lot of just watching, either while the robot moves from place to place or the stories that play out in the speech bubbles. Not sure I’ll keep playing this one. ETA: Appreciate a response from the developer. However the problem is mainly with controls, not the puzzles. For example, a red box switch that would not

Difficult controls, gameplay isn’t intuitive

Their are several places where the controls of the game are very specific in a not intuitive way- you must stand in position A, not position B to get an item to work when neither position is obviously more applicable. I’m currently stuck trying to get the elevator to go up BC the lever action area is under the full screen toggle bar on modern iPhones. This is just lazy programming. Okay but frustrating puzzle game overall.
