Love the app but even after several exchanges with developer still cannot edit locations that do not have an address which are the majority of my 1k locations (waterfalls, trailheads, kayaking river access points) …
I love this app for keeping track of places I want to visit. It’s simple and easy to use but still has plenty of features. Use it a lot and really like it. If I had one change, it would be the search feature for finding places to add to your map. While not necessarily bad, sometimes it says a place your looking for doesn’t exist when you type it’s name fully so you have to delete some letters and scroll through the options. Still, good app.
Perfect way to organize all my favorite spots without cluttering my driving maps. Can’t recommend enough!!
New places that I want to add just come up when I search for them anymore. I don’t think I’m looking for obscure places. Not sure what changed. As a test, I just searched for Chipotle at my current location and it said no results. I can’t walk 4 blocks without seeing Chipotle. App has become useless. May be user error but I used to have no trouble finding places that I wanted to add.
Perfect way to organize all my favorite spots without cluttering my driving maps. Can’t recommend enough!!
I just want to say that you guys did a great job with this app. For several years now I’ve been keeping everything in my notes, but this is clearly superior. I have one improvement that can be made since I saw another app do it. I like the tags feature, but you can make it so that we can modify the order that they are shown in on our list? I think it would be nice for aesthetic purposes. Because that way my tags can all be in the same order down the list without me having to delete and re add th
I’ve been using Mapster for a number of years. I travel a lot for business and I would store restaurants and other places for reference for when I’m on a trip and seek a restaurant or tourist spot I have saved in the area. It is probably user error but as the app has evolved, my ability to find saved items where I’m at, or search for places I’ve stored, but don’t recall exactly what they are called, has become an exercise in frustration for me. I really liked it as a reference library of my pla
I just wish the app was more offline/offgrid friendly. Or at least have the ability to toggle a button to turn on/save for offline use. The app will not open if I have no signal/wifi. And sometimes I can get it to work offline if I stick my phone in airplane mode (50-50 chance). Other than that, it’s a pretty swell app.
I have used this app on several trips. The ability to map sites of interest is such an excellent idea and tool for travel. However, you cannot retain or add maps. If there is an ability to add additional maps then I could not determine how.
Mapstr is by far my favorite utility app. I love recommending others use it because if they don’t have mapstr then they aren’t able to remember all of the cool places they hear about to visit, especially in our home city, Chicago.
This app is a great for keeping track of all the places you want to save. However, I would really like the option to use it on an iPad. Developers: can you please update this app so it can fit on a larger full screen display?
Used this app throughout Spain and France and it was great to keep track of all the placed we wanted to go and learn from others what to check out. Hate using it on the phone though. When will the tablet format come out?
Great interface, but EXTREMELY buggy. Expect the app to freeze about twice for every one time that it works properly.
I’ve tried several apps that were meant to serve the same purpose, but each was always lacking something. THIS ONE IS PERFECT! They cover all the bases.
Love the app! Please please just add the following 1. Ability to rate each location 2. Ability to add dollar signs of cost
Use it all the time for recommendations, places I see and want to try, and places I want to remember in NYC
Great app for keeping track of places you want to visit/try and logging your favorites!
My Spanish and French introduced me to it when I was living in Madrid and now that I’m back in New York City I wish more people used it here!! Highly recommend if you’re planning a trip or just want to organize places you like.
Mapstr is a cool app to map places you’ve been and categorize them. I’ve used it to remember where I’ve been and what I enjoyed (or didn’t enjoy) there. Nice to see what friends have mapped also.
Allows me to keep all those addresses handy of places I love going to at home, while keeping tabs on all the new places I want to try when traveling. Just what I was looking for.
You know why?? It’s because of the tagging. Google maps doesn’t have that. In google maps, you have to add a location to your “want to go” list, remove it from that list, and add it to another. In Mapstr, you just swap the tags!
Love this app. So easy to use. Perfect for NYC.
I have been using this app for a while now and love it! It allows you to save and share all your favorite spots you’ve been too or want to go too. It helps you to always to remember those special places.
Easy app to add your favorite spots around town. If you have a friend that has similar taste then you can see where their favorites are too.
Helps me keep track of interesting places I visit and find them later with the tags and location because often times I forget the names.
I love using this app for whenever I want to find a new place to go from my friends maps or if I want to save a restaurant to remember in my map. Interface is nice. Good job!
Works great for saving all my stops. Quick index for finding previous stops, lots of room for taking notes for future reference. Also fun to see all the places I’ve been. Be great for RVers
Great way to keep track of food spots! Happy to use it.
I’m using daily this app to remember and share my favourite places.
When I find a new venue to visit or get a recommendation, Mapstr is the way I keep track. My favorite is going to a neighborhood I’m not typically in and looking at the spots I’ve marked. Easiest way to keep the adventures flowing.
For anyone serious about exploring (read: people who are both curious and organized), you can do no better than Mapstr.
Love this app! Using it all the time! How to get reviews from people you trust instead of strangers...
I love this app, it’s how I keep track of all the restaurants I have visited and want to try. I highly recommend it!
My only regret is not having this app 10 years to keep and share my favorites addresses
Great app to save all your best places in one place. I’ve been using it daily for more than one year and the app works very well!
It’s just perfect. A clean, simple way to track and remember places I want to visit or have already been and loved.
Mapstr is the second app I use the most, right after Instagram. I use it in my hometown or when I travel, I store my own spots or look for new ones to discover. Couldn’t recommend it more!!
I’m so glad my boyfriend introduced me to this app. I love being able to look back at places I’ve all visited, notes about what we ate, and to see other places nearby.
I love the overall concept and design of the app. But the issue is that most maps cost money. I’m not going to pay money for map with places to go, absolutely not going to happen.
I love this app. It helps me be so organized. I always hear of restaurants and brunch places, and never remember when the time comes to choose a place.
I used to write down all the places (and to-do's) on a long list - and lost overview at some point. Mapstr finally helps me to get an overview of my favorite (future) places. Love it!
I absolutely love this app. Please keep it up
3 Negative User Reviews for Mapstr, save & share places
The app logs me off and tries to get me to establish a new account every time I open it. No one has the time for that, no matter how useful a new app may be and even if they love the concept…
It asks me what city I am in, so I type it, London, and it doesn’t work (no results). So I type several cities in America, still nothing. I type in Dubai, Tokyo, Rome, Paris and more and still “no results.” It’s sad because this looks like a good app
Whenever i use the app, my phone can no longer access cellular data nor wifi. I had to delete the app to find my way home. Please fix this. The idea for this app is fantastic.
