MaxPreps: High School Sports App Reviews

Decent app but lots of error 406 messages. I understand you need to play the bills, but all the ads & banners fill up 3/4 of the page from top to bottom and there’s very little space to see info, read articles and view stats. Also, the frequent mandatory pop-up ads are so 2002 — they’re worse than an infield fly rule…and the new extra-innings rule to start the inning with a runner on 2nd.

Midlothian’s record is incorrect as posted. Their record is shown as 12-0-4. Their record should be listed as 12-0-3. MaxPreps posted the Atlee score twice. Midlothian only placed Atlee once. The game that was scheduled for May 5th was canceled due to weather. The game was rescheduled for later in the schedule in a game where the score was posted as a 3-3 tie, which is correct. This app is SO informational. It has stats, standings and so much more. It has every school in every state. It has top notch information about every school. This app updates very quick. I definitely recommend downloading this app.

So I checked my football team score against the game we played Thursday and the score was wrong. It got correct that we did win. Oh it bothered me as it said 39 to 32 which was incorrect cause they did not get 32 points. we got 35 points and they got six points. Can someone please fix the scoring system because y’all are getting it wrong

How are yall gonna put that our team won 60-35 because that’s what happened and then change the score two days later to tell they lost

Please update this app. It’s been unreadable for quite a while now. I couldn’t find anything on Support to file a recommendation. There’s ads or whatever that is blocking half the page. Being where I live, this app is of great interest to me. I miss using it

I just now made an account & I’m disappointed that there’s a 16 team minimum. I personally like to follow the surrounding counties for football season & I need more than 16. Also, you’re missing a couple of Texas teams. Not sure how to suggest them, but they’re missing. Would be nice if you could make a way to follow the whole school if you’re interested as well as just select sports like you already have. I would love to follow my hometown school for everything & surrounding schools for footbal

This app used to be great, but now 1/3 of the screen is covered in ads. I understand they need to make a profit, but Holly cow you don’t choke people with the ads.

It would be nice to follow more teams instead of removing teams I wish we could follow like 30 or 50 teams instead of the normal 20 please expand it the reason why I give it a 4 star is on the limit of teams you can follow if they update the limit follow for teams I’ll update my star rating

I absolutely love this app. It gives me standings, scores, playoff brackets, and everything I need for high school football and basketball. However, only recently, as in the past 2 weeks, the app has not been entering the scores I report. I have entered over 250 scores over the past few years and am a verified scorer. Have had to enter them numerous times and even then sometimes they still don’t show up and I don’t get a confirmation email. Would love to know why this might be happening? If this

Please give us an option to remove ads. It completely clutters up the app.

They are very slow to update the stats in the app. I cannot seem to get national rankings in the app or my athlete.

Every final score I’ve looked at in your videos for Texas are wrong. What’s your problem?

The stats total calculation for each category isn’t updating. If you add a column down the total is incorrect, resulting in giving players incorrect total stats for the category.

Please add Sign in with Apple ASAP‼️ (also you can't swipe back to go back, and you instead have to press the arrow on the top left corner. Was this app developed in 2002 or something???)

I don’t understand? The website has much more stuff than the app? Wha? The website has things like all time seasons, all time rosters, more news than 5 articles and a video with an ad longer than the actual video. If those are there, please prove me wrong devs. And god, please give us the ability to make the screen black or at least grey instead of white. love this app except there is no cheerleading. i wish that cheerleading would be added. i understand sideline cheer not being on there, but competition cheer should be shown the same respect as any other sport.
