Meijer - Delivery & Pickup App Reviews

Meijer has been a good place to shop from the 1970’s when I started shopping at the Canton MI store, good prices and great customer service. The app is pretty good and has a lot to offer. I wish the gas station part would show the price per gallon consistently. It seems to be hit or miss as far as showing prices all the time.

EDIT: I heard back from the Meijer app developers. They were right - my Norton antivirus/ VPN on my phone was the issue. I disabled this and my app works again. Thanks Meijer! —- OLD POST: Since most recent update, I am no longer able to use the app. When I press the “Sign in” button I get the error “Sorry! Something went wrong on our end…” I restarted my phone, attempted to reinstall the app, and the error remains the same. I don’t even have the opportunity to enter my ID or password.

I have used the app for years and used to love it. I always Shop & Scan, but it is becoming almost unusable. Every time my phone goes to sleep or I switch to another app (like my shopping list), it boots me back to the main app screen. To scan the next item I have to pick Shop & Scan again and wait for it to confirm the store again. This is unacceptable. The app did not used to do this. Please fix it!

I would rate this app and the shop and scan option a five star, something I reserve for only the best, but it recently added what others have called a bug After scanning and sleeping or locking your phone, to avoid a random scan while shopping, you are taken out of the scan app and have to re validate to scan a new item. This increases the scan time by four or five times, and makes the experience much less friendly. I am still at a four star because of my past experiences and hope that this

Kroger app will let you follow along with your shopper. Using DoorDash to shop at Meijer allows you to see your shoppers progress & respond to substitutions or questions. It would be nice if the actual Meijer app would also do this. There have been several times where I haven’t received a single text from my shopper through the Meijer app. Not when they start, not when they can’t find or substitute something & not when they’ve delivered. I love the new update to shop and scan - it’s a much more modern and user friendly design :) Would be cool to have an item search within the shop and scan overview page (not while scanning). Then I wouldn’t have to exit shop and scan and navigate back to the home tab to do this. Only reason for a star off is since the newest update I did end up having the app crash twice. Once when scanning a Meijer salsa and another time when hitting the checkout button. The Meijer app just keeps getting b

Am so tired of getting logged out while using the app. Happens multiple times when looking at the ad and also while going through coupons.

I agree with the last reviewer on this subject of having to buy 3 or 4 items to get the sale price it’s just a ploy to try and get you to buy more when you don’t need it!

I have been asking why Meijer charges tax for “FT” (tax free) groceries and they have been keeping silent. Up to now there’s 3 occasions that I only bought food and they charge tax though all the tax categorization is “FT”.

It time for you to add an iPad specific app that takes advantage of the extra real estate.

I like the apps features with ad showing coupon specials on their item. The view and clip coupons is also easy and helpful since the coupons can be sorted by the category of interest. I like that there is a sneak peek for the next week. The bar code sender has been great to apply those discounts. I like using the app.

The store is clean and stock seem to be improving ever week.

The shop and scan is really convenient but the app drains my battery so quickly that I can barely finish the trip without my phone dying. I have closed all other apps and turned app off when not actively using but it shouldn’t be that much work and use that much energy. I don’t have that issue with Target, Costco, or Kroger.

Good app. But can be very slow to load or create functions like “edit order” after placing a pick up order. Not the most user friendly interface when first opened up. Glitchy in the last few weeks—saving previously picked up orders and leaving them in the cart.

Seriously, I love using the app. There are somethings that I prefer to see for myself before buying so I will not select those type of items but for the most part I have been thoroughly satisfied with what has been chosen. Using the store pick up also prevents me from walking down isles and grabbing something just because I see it. I used to do that a lot. So I would have a list of maybe 10 or 15 items but leave the store with 25 items or more but not anymore.

I’ve save so much money I didn’t know I could of saved with this app. It absolutely a must have if you go to Meijer’s often! It’s totally worth it!

I don’t care for the self check out Iam not for cutting the workers

I love the app but it doesn’t cover the whole screen on my iPad . It makes it hard to see and you can adjust it. Please fix this.

I travel 10 miles to shop and more times than not coupon items are not available. Very disappointed

Receipts seemed to have moved or are missing - however their developers messaged to say they are fixing it

It’s easy to order what you need, update your order, choose substitutions, and select the day and time for pickup. Love this service! Our family has been using it for 2 1/2 years!

It seems that most sales items are either poor quality items or out of stock.

Very pleased with the ease of picking my groceries up!! Customer service at the car is excellent! Highly recommend!!!

Love the app. Only way is being able to use my “Special pick” coupons I get in the mail from meijer. Other than that love this

I’m always saving money at Meijer thru coupons and rewards what a great program.

I have an earned reward. I can’t figure out how to redeem it. There is no explanation or “a clip here” to add the credit to my bill. Not good! Also, as I page thru the coupons, I have too many open up unintended. This could be updated. Seems you have to stay to the left.

Don’t like the fact the company has become a liquor store. Don’t like getting 50-60 mperks for liquor . Wish there was a way to eliminate the category from m perks completely.

I usually love this app but for some reason it has not worked for shopping since last Thursday!

I love the Mperks. It is a great savings.

I would give this five stars but I’ve not been able to go to my cart or place an order. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I hope someone can help me get this straightened out. I want to order groceries soon! Thank you.

I just went to the app to look up a receipt and it isn’t there.

I like the app. It’s very useful but for the life of me, I can’t find the favorites list. Where??? If there was ever an app where you would want to see your favorites listed this is it.

When it works, it’s good. Unfortunately for the past two months, the coupons I spend time clipping 75% of time do not save into clipped. A waste of time and then money. I expect better from such a large grocery - much more seamless processes with Kroger, Target, Walmart/Sams Club, etc.

The shop and scan portion of the app used to work great. Within the last couple of weeks the app closes the shop and scan portion every time the screen goes to sleep. This causes you to reopen the shop and scan section and wait for it to load before scanning the next item. Please fix this as it makes shopping take longer.

I get meijer express because I am handicapped but the things I need are not on express and I only want to spend 10$ for that time not a full order of 35$ because I do not need it just the items or item and also you do not always get sale prices..for people like myself in strict budget an cannot shop for them selves..I have started shopping the Walmart app delivery I get more for $ plus if I join for small fee then also no delivery fee and can get amount of items delivery..which is convenient..

Been loving the app using it for shop and scan but.. The recent update has issues, if I’m using the app when the screen goes to sleep (if not using it constantly) when you wake the screen it goes back to the main menu of Meijer app. So then have to click on shop and scan again, then scan item then it resumes cart. It’s frustrating shopping and having it keep going back to the Home Screen when you wake the phone back up to scan another item. Before it would stay in the app and ready to scan anot

I’ve had my order not received, no updates to my orders multiple times, had to go in to pay because the app won’t update. Coupons do not add to the cart. I can clip them and nothing happens. I’ve had to call customer service multiple times to ensure my grocery order is ready because my window is almost over and I never received an order update. This app has so many minor issues that I’ve never experienced with a mobile order. I love Meijer, hate this app so much.
